God’s spirit, given by Christ, flows through us as living water God’s spirit, given by Christ, flows through us as living water God’s spirit, given by Christ, flows through us as living water to wash, heal, and satisfy. to wash, heal, and satisfy. to wash, heal, and satisfy.
As a congregation we become a fountain, sharing this living water with others. As a congregation we become a fountain, sharing this living water with others. As a congregation we become a fountain, sharing this living water with others.

Prelude Chiming of the Hour Welcome
Introit John Gilbert
Gathered here to praise and worship, lifting hearts and hands Would we each repeat our prayers and praises, I in You and You in me.
*Call to Worship Great is the faithfulness of the Lord our God. Morning by morning new mercies we see from the Divine’s hand. God is our faithful companion — when we rise and when we rest. Let us worship almighty God!
*Hymn 272 God of the Sparrow
*Call to Confession
*Prayer of Confession Merciful God, we confess that we have been distracted with many things and have not loved you with our whole being. We have paid scant attention to your Word. We have allowed the poor to be neglected and the weak to be oppressed. We have been insincere in our dealings with others and have ignored signs of injustice. Forgive us, we pray. Free us from our habits of pride, and make us steadfast in faith, that we may live as those who are reconciled with you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. (time for silent confession)
And let God's people say: Amen.
*Assurance of Pardon
*Congregational Response (hymn 4, Sampler, refrain only) The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; God’s mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning, new every morning; Great is your faithfulness, O Lord, great is your faithfulness.
*The Peace of Christ Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us forgive one another. The peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. And also with you. Let us share the peace of Christ with one another.

*Affirmation of Faith The Apostles’ Creed (traditional version)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
