THE FLOWERS ARE WILTING AND THE GARDEN IS CLOSING. How do I say “Thank you” to all my Auxiliary Sisters (My “Gerber Daisies”) for making my Flower Garden bloom this year? Without each of your dedication to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, it would not have been a success and OHIO would not have been #1 in membership this year!!!! The year went by fast as I flew to many Auxiliaries to help them celebrate Anniversaries plus many other occasions. As my year comes to an end, I want to thank my Eagle Sister and friend, Sara Favorite, for chairing our State Convention this year. You are a true Eagle, always soaring to do your best! Wishing MSP Minda a successful year as she embarks on her many travels as I did! I hope everyone enjoyed my theme. I have been honored to serve as your Queen Bee this past year. I am heading to my BEEEEEEhive to rest up from an awesome year and reflect on my many memories!

Your Queen Bee 2016-2017, Sue NOTE: We raised $3,741.10 for Sue Vandenbroek’s State Charity, Sara’s Garden by having Basket Raffles, 50/50’s and a 42 Raffle. Tarilynn Zolman, Sara’s Garden NWZ Charity Chairman

LOVE Let love be genuine, Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good,

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, AMERICA!!!!

NOTES FROM STATE SECRETARY DEBBIE SHARP:

J ATTENTION ALL SECRETARIES: 1) Be sure to get your Officers and Auditor in to MMS right away. Also, we

have many new Secretaries who do not have their e-mail address in MMS—their previous Secretary’s e-mail address is still listed.

2) The 990 e-postcard is not due to be filed with the IRS until October 15th. HOWEVER YOU CAN FILE IT NOW! Please don’t wait!

J We only have one Auxiliary delinquent in their State Per Capita Tax for period

ending November 30, 2017! I’m sure theirs will be paid soon. REMINDER TO ALL: Grand Aerie Per Capita Tax, Grand Aerie Funeral Benefits, and State Per Capita Tax are now due for period ending May 31, 2017. Those who haven’t paid will be listed in next month’s Buckeye Breeze.

J We still have ten Auxiliaries who have not submitted their 2017 Affiliation

Agreement to the Grand Aerie. This is a COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENT. Please send it right away. Those Auxiliaries are:

o 761 Coshocton o 811 Wooster o 979 Urbana o 1463 Ashtabula o 2198 Carey o 2244 Columbus Southside o 2289 Batavia o 2292 Germantown o 3881 Jefferson o 4354 Wakeman

J Sisters, we have many Auxiliaries who have asked for help, and we are in the

process of scheduling visits. The visits will begin when we return from Grand Convention beginning the week of July 24th. If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to request help in writing to my office at the address on the front of the Buckeye Breeze or to [email protected]. I cannot send anyone in if I don’t have a signed written request. Thank you!

J I hope to see many of you at the upcoming Auxiliary Officers and Auditor Training Schools scheduled the end of July and September. REMEMBER, ANY Auxiliary Sister in good standing can attend. You do not have to be an Officer or Auditor. If you plan to attend Sunday’s session, bring a laptop with you if possible as we will be training on MMS. The only cost to attend the training is for your lunch and your hotel room if you wish to stay the night. PSP Norma Brookover has blocked rooms at the Quality Inn (formerly Comfort Inn) in Zanesville for those wanting to stay the night. Cost: $94.99 + tax. Be sure to tell them you are with the Eagles Auxiliary Officers and Auditor Training School to receive that rate. Phone number: 740-454-4144; 500 Monroe Street, Zanesville. Hotel for the Lebanon school will be in the August Buckeye Breeze.

The Garden is in full bloom!!!

Thank you to all our District Leaders, Zone Coordinators, and all the Auxiliary members who helped to make the garden bloom and kept Ohio

number 1 for the year. This year we had 57 Auxiliaries meet their quota, 19 Auxiliaries doubled their quota, Ravenna #2164 tripled their

quota and Massillon #190 quadrupled their quota. The highest producing District was District # 3 with 184%. Your highest individual

producer was Dixie Berry, Coshocton #761.

Nourish all the seed packets into beautiful flowers for our Auxiliaries. We want to keep our gardens blooming all the time……

The posters and assemblages submitted at State Convention were amazing. Congrats to all the winners!!

This has been a rewarding year, from my appointment, to Leadership, to the monthly reporting and State Convention this year. The watering

cans made everything bloom. Special thanks to the queen bee for this assignment. It was an awesome year!!

Best of luck to the new State Membership Chairman. . . .
