On June 17, 2014 Cathy Garrett, Wayne
County Clerk, was the guest speaker for
the Romulus Chamber Business Lunch-
eon, held at the Holiday Inn-Detroit Metro
Airport, Romulus.
Ms. Garrett is
the Clerk of
the largest Cir-
cuit Court in
the State of
Michigan. Her
responsibilities
include the
maintaining of court records for three are-
as of the Third Judicial Circuit Court, in-
cluding civil, criminal and family cases.
She is also re-
sponsible for
various elections
held throughout
Wayne County
for federal, state
and county offic-
es.
Following her
presentation,
there were a few
minutes for
questions from
the audience.
Not surprising, there was a question re-
garding Congressman Conyers and his
recent failure to comply with ballot peti-
tion requirements. Garrett’s answer re-
garding her decision that Conyers could
not be on the August primary ballot, was
a reflection of commitment to insure the
integrity of elections.
Following the event, Chamber President
Terry Bridges presented Cathy with a
small gift and a certificate.
The next Business Luncheon will take
place on Tuesday, September 16, 2014
at the Clarion Hotel, Romulus with Mr.
Tom Naughton, CEO of Wayne County
Airport Authority as the guest speaker.

started. New furniture and dressings have been ordered.

raffles and wine basket gifts proved to make for an excellent night of networking and fellowship. All proceeds went to the Romulus Library.
It was decided that something this good needs to be repeated! Watch for "Wine Tasting 2" that will take place in January or February of 2015. It’s a great way to support the Romulus Public Library!
