August 20th is the Men’s Golf Outing. Please be at the Links of Bowen Lake at 7:30 AM. There will be a shotgun start at 8:00 AM sharp!! (http://www.linksatbowenlake.com). Grill nights for the month of July will be Thursday July 7th and Thursday July 21st. Bring your family and friends to enjoy good food at reasonable prices. Membership Rosters are now available at the bar for $2.00. The club will be closed Monday July 4th. Have a fun and safe holiday weekend. Do not forget this is a great place to be on Hot Summer Days. Congratulations to Jamie Hosford on being selected to the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame. Visit the site at www.ccofgr.com (Casino Club of Grand Rapids). A person with a computer can go to this website to get the latest newsletter. A person without a computer can ask a friend with one or go to the local reference library to get and print the latest information and newsletter. Now the Casino News is available wherever you are!!! Check it out!! Copies of the Newsletters are always available at the club. Articles for next month’s newsletter be submitted by the 15th of the month and posted on the website on about the 25th for the next month. Submissions need to be sent electronically. This not only stops mistakes in retyping but also will make the file size smaller and easier to open. Special thanks to Pat Brown and Mike Sullivan for helping moving the club from the 20th century to 21st century. Basically, three quarters of our membership have computers. It will only increase for the next generation of our members!! For those that do not, newsletters and information is available at the club. Please pick one up for you and your fellow member. December 10, 2011 We are asking everyone to spread the word. We will have 30 tables to rent out and will be open to non members as well. If you know of anyone that would be interested in reserving a table or two to sell their crafts please have them give me a call so I can get their name on a list. AUXILIARY NEWS

We had a great turnout for the June meeting. We had a wonderful banquet and a very good dinner. Thanks to the ladies who put this all together, it was greatly appreciated. Also, a big thanks goes to the gentlemen who bartended for us. After the banquet we held our monthly meeting. The new officers were sworn in, thanks to Kay VanDuinen for helping out with this process. Family day is approaching on August 7, 2011. Please help out with cakes for the cake walk and any help that you can give. We still need volunteers to help out in the kitchen and at the cake walk. Please let me know if you are able to help in any way. The phone committee will start making phone calls later this month. Our sympathies go out to Rosalie Sejat for the loss of her mother-in-law and to Marla Host for the loss of her mother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families for their loss. Please keep in mind that we will be having a craft show on December 10, 2011. There are still tables available. If you are interested in having a booth in the show, please contact Phyllis Richardson at (616)361-1162. We are looking forward to a great time and a good turnout. The auxiliary will not be meeting in the months of July or August. Our next meeting will be on September 6, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Please come and join us. We are always looking for new members, so please consider joining if you are not already in the auxiliary. Thanks to all the ladies for the participation in the auxiliary. DANCE WITH THE BIG BAND ERA

Hey you Casino Clubs Seniors and Friends, want to take the boring out of your week. Then put on your dancing shoes and join us on Thursdays from 1pm to 3 PM. We have a great eight piece band’ The Socialaires, music from the Big Band era, Soft country and Swing. Join us on the party side. We have lots of fun and great exercise. The cost is $2.00 for each person. Come in and meet some new friends. This is open to all Seniors and non-members. Dance or just listen. Singles are welcome. CRIBBAGE PLAYERS WANTED

The Casino Club mens cribbage league is looking for new players. We play on Wednesday nights at 7PM starting on September 7th and ending on April 11th. There will be 2 weeks we do not play which are November 23rd and December 28th. The cost per week is only $3.00. There are also 2 banquets during the year. It is a fun and rather inexpensive evening out. If anyone is interested, please contact Tom Troeger at 735-3655 or just come down to the club on September 7th.

WEENIE WEDNESDAYS

There will be hot dogs and chips at the club this summer each Wednesday from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM. $2.00 for one or two for $3.00. We want to thank all the members that have been putting a dollar in the collection box each time they come in the club. The collection box is located near the juke box. 100% of all donations go to a service person from Michigan!!
