    SANTA FE WORKSHOPS

Award-winning dancer Julia Chacon offers flamenco danceworkshops in Santa Fe. Flamenco is an energetic, visceralmusic and dance from southern Spain. It does not require apartner, yet it is a great ice breaker for groups and the ultimatein multitasking, incorporating fiery footwork, undulating arms, and staccato timing. It serves as a fun way to stay physically fitand a wonderful team building activity for groups.

Dancing is unique because it has the heart-healthy benefits ofaerobics and doubles as a social activity. In fact, the National

Lung, Heart and Blood Association said that dancing can lowerthe risk of coronary disease, lower blood pressure, helpmanage weight and strengthen bones (www.nhlbi.nih.gov).

Experience the gift offlamenco: both a sport and an art form filled with potential forincreased self-esteem, confidence, fitness, fun andcommunicative skills. No previous art experience or perceivedtalent is necessary to have a completely successful experience inthis workshop.
