Abstract Virtual LANs have long been used within campus networks to create logical workgroups, independent of physical location or LAN topology. It is important to analyze VLAN
capabilities, found in both wired and wireless devices, to tag and compartmentalize Wi-Fi traffic, supporting institution’s security and traffic management policies. A campus
VLAN is modeled using OPNET modeler and traffic over VLAN is analyzed. Differences
in throughput and network delay are compared over VLAN and without-VLAN environment. The model is designed to create a campus VLAN with fiber backbone with
several segments.

Abstract Routing is a demanding issue in mobile ad-hoc network. Mobile means moving
geographically and ad hoc means impermanent without any fixed infrastructure so
mobile ad hoc networks are a kind of momentary networks in which nodes are moving without any fixed infrastructure or centralized administration. The infrastructure less
and the dynamic nature of these networks demands new set of networking strategies to be implemented in order to provide efficient uninterrupted communication. Due to
unbounded movement of nodes topology of the network is frequently changes. So it is
hard to perform optimally by any protocol in this varying environment. The various routing protocols are analyzed and the advantages and disadvantages associated to
particular protocol is briefly discussed. The contribution of this paper is to focus on comparative study of various routing protocol used in the ad-hoc network.

Abstract In the mobile device area, new advance features are introduced such as Android
mobiles, tablets, Windows platform phones, etc. Using these mobile phones, we can send email using different browsers to anyone using internet. For the security of the
emails, the authors have implemented an application using Rabbit algorithm. A
particular email client uses Rabbit algorithm to encrypt and decrypt confidential email content. This application can be used to view, edit, send, retrieve, and read a simple
email.

Abstract Fidelity (Li-Fi) is the latest 5G technology in wireless communication. It is currently becoming more popular as it overcomes the demerits of Wi-Fi and is more energy-
efficient. The Wi-Fi radio frequency range is insufficient as the number of users is
increasing day by day. To meet this growing demand, the visible light frequency band is used in Li-fi. It makes use of LED (light emitting diode) lights in order to transmit data at
a much faster rate than through Wi-Fi. That means, it uses visible light, instead of radio waves, from the electromagnetic spectrum and hence it is termed as visible light
communication (VLC). VLC uses rapid pulses of light, which cannot be detected by
human eye, to transmit information. This technology was founded by Professor Herald Haas, from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. It is now a part of the
VLC PAN IEEE 802.15.7 standard. With this, a data rate of up to 10 Gbps can be achieved.

Diminution of Co-channel Interference in
Femtocell Networks
K. Sireesha*, MVR Srivatsava, M Deepak, N Abhinav Dept. of Computer Science, K L University, Guntur, India
Abstract In the field of telecommunications, a femtocell is defined as a low-power cellular base
station that is typically designed for use in a home or small business. A broader term
which is more widespread in the industry is small cell, with femtocell as a subset. It acts as a service provider that allows to extend service coverage indoors or at the cell edge,
especially where access would otherwise be limited or unavailable. In multiple-access
communication systems several users share the system resources, thus creating co-channel interference to each other. In order to dimulate possible co-channel
interferences we use the concept of cognitive radio (CR) that allows to overlay between macro cell and femtocells has been considered an optimal solution. Cognitive radio
functionality can be implemented in femtocell networks based on an overlay mechanism
under the assumption of a hierarchical access and in co-channel deployment scenario. In this survey paper, we give in-depth theoretical analysis on media access protocol using
discrete-time Markov chain analysis to validate the effectiveness of the proposed architecture.
Keywords: Mitigation, femtocell, co-channel interference, cognitive radio networks.
