Controversial Issues of Security in Wireless

Sensor Network

B. Balaji Bhanu*, K Raghava Rao ECM, KL University, Guntur, A.P., India

Abstract Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an emerging technology which shows a very good

number of valid futuristic applications both for common people and military. As wireless

sensor networks continue to grow, so does the need for effective security mechanisms. Wireless sensor networks are quickly gaining popularity due to the fact that they are

potentially low cost solutions to a variety of real-world challenges. The basic idea of a

sensor network is to disperse tiny sensing devices that are capable of sensing some changes of incidents/parameters and communicating with other devices. The inclusion of

wireless communication technology incurs various types of security threats. This paper introduces security considerations with enhanced techniques. By identifying various

threats and the research issues some security measures in the wireless sensor networks is

proposed. In this paper we introduce different security considerations for accessing efficient security in a real time security processes. We also discuss the holistic view of

security for ensuring layered and robust security in wireless sensor networks. Our experimental results show efficient security issues for confidential data delivery between

each user.

Energy Efficient Data Aggregation of Heterogeneous

Network using Metaheuristic Approach

S. Swapna Kumar* Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Department of Electronics & Communication

Engineering, P.O. Thalakkottukara, Thrissur, Kerala, India

Abstract The development of wireless sensor network results in faster technological

development and its fundamental problem of network life time in the given energy constraints leads to several research study and its optimization. Sensor networks

revolutionize the paradigm of collecting and processing information from diverse

environments. In this paper proposed the distributed clustering optimization to determine the better network performance using the meta-heuristic approach based on

Improved Harmony Search Algorithm (IHSA) principle. HAS is a music-based meta-heuristic optimization method, implemented in real time to minimize the intra-cluster

distances between the cluster members and cluster heads (CHs) to optimize the energy

distribution of the WSNs. Further Ant Entropy based Data Aggregation (AEDA) algorithm is applied to maximum possible energy saving through data aggregation

under different data traffic. The simulation carried out using MATLAB to study the performance matrix in the heterogeneous network nodes. The proposed protocol

realization compared with Metaheuristic Algorithms using different empirical test

values. The protocol evaluation studies provides a balance between error reduction and maximize the network lifetime improvement.

Abstract Wireless Sensor networks (WSNs) are being used widely in the data to day life of human.

Sensor network is a collection of tiny sensors connected through different Wireless

medium. The main aim of sensor networks is to monitor and control of physical environments from remote locations with better accuracy. WSNs are having a wide range

of applications areas such as military battle fields, environmental monitoring, health

monitoring sensors in network monitor the surroundings by sensing, gather the data and

forwards to sink node. To do these there should be a reliable transport mechanism. But in

WSN reliable transport is severe problem influenced by the various layers of protocol stack such as physical, MAC, network, and transport layers. Since the WSN are lack of

resources like battery power, bandwidth and other there is problem in providing

reliability. In this paper presents an analytical scheme for implementing reliable data transport in WSNs with some recommendations, we present RMST (Reliable Multi-

Segment Transport), a new transport layer for Directed Diffusion to achieve reliability at

the transport layer.

Research Study on Underwater Wireless

Sensor Networks (WSN)

Syed Abdur Rauf Magrabi* Department of Aerospace Electrical and Electronics Engineering,

Coventry University, United Kingdom

Abstract In this research work we found an application of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) in underground water. In today developing environment the wireless system plays an

important role in communication process. Though there are many equipment’s to carry

out the communication successfully Sensors plays a vital role. In this research work we found many interesting aspects of underwater acoustic communication. In this work we

have described on critical analysis on requirements of system and system design and development methods. The Underwater Sensor Network (UWSN) is a powerful technique

which is used for aquatic application and it’s different from other ground based

networks. There is a long propagation delay and the bandwidth is low with high error rate.
