Responsibilities: As the Web designer at Safe Software, my responsibilities included the following: • Being the lead designer for the company website. • Creating style guide in order to maintain branding consistency throughout the website. • Manage over 100+ web pages on the corporate website that help communicate product to customers more effectively. • Sketching mockups and creating high fidelity prototypes using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Invision, Sketch and UXPin. • Constant communication with web developers to create a coherent workflow between both designer and developers. • Coding layouts using HTML5 and CSS3. • Assist other teams in the company with any design needs whenever needed such as creating brochures, posters or interface redesigns.

Description: Music 2 Movement is a part of UBC BEST, a biomedical enginneering student team who specializes in helping patients that have had a stroke and using musical intruments sensors as a mean to cure them. Our team of 4 people spent a full semester working with M2M, aiding them in updating their software interface that music therapist will be using during their sessions with patients in order to track user’s physical progress.
Responsibilities: As the project lead of the project, my responsibilities included the following: • Facilitate and conduct interviews with the Music 2 Movement team and other stakeholders such as music therapist on a weekly basis. • Conceptualize questions and scenarios that will be used in the interview to convey real life situations and also gather the best results from participants. • Creating personas based on data that are gathered from prior interviews with participants. • Perform heuristic evaluation on the old software interface to define usability issues and how to improve the user experience. • Sketching and creating high fidelity mockups using proto.io for the new software interface.

Responsibilities: As a user experience and user interface designer, my responsibilities included the following: • Research various stakeholder and identify any potential problems that they may encounter daily. • Sketching mockups and building high fidelity prototypes using prototyping tools such as Axure, Sketch, and Principle. • Collaborate with other senior UX Designers and learning under their mentorship. • Perform user testing on the finished product to gather feedback from stakeholders and reiterate design based on feedback. • Storyboarding and creating script for introductory video to demonstrate the mobile application.
