Hank Smith, PhD Finding Joy through Building Trusting RelationshipsHank Smith teaches in the Religious Education Department at BYU and is a favorite speaker for Especially for Youth, Best of Especially for Youth, and BYU Education Week.

Hilary Weeks Finding Joy in Daily Life Hilary has always loved music. Her most recent CD releases Every Step, Say Love, and Love Your Life all charted in the top ten on the Christian Billboard Charts. She loves sharing the message of optimistic living.

Dorie Haws Finding Joy in ParentingDorie Haws is a head teacher trainer in the Child and Family Studies Laboratory in the School of Family Life at BYU.

Liz Edmunds Finding Joy in the KitchenLiz Edmunds is the author of two cookbooks: The Food Nanny Rescues Dinner (2008) and The Food Nanny Rescues Dinner Again! (2009). She also hosts the BYUtv show The Food Nanny, which show-cases her passion for family dinnertime.

Rella Christensen, PhD, RDH Finding Joy in Your WorkRella has a PhD and leads TRAC Research—the human studies section of the nonprofit Clinicians Report Foundation, formerly called CRA, which she cofounded and directed for 27 years.

Bryce Barfuss, DDS, and Heidi Barfuss Finding Joy in Service Bryce and Heidi live in Twin Falls, Idaho, and enjoy hiking, backpacking, skiing, road-tripping, and serving abroad. They feel that serving and traveling together creates the best memories.

Taylor and Bailee Morris Finding Joy Before, During, and After Adversity Taylor and Bailee are both performers and entertainers at heart. They met through the BYU Young Ambassador program and both were members of the group for three years.

Nathan Ogden Finding Joy in the JourneyNathan Ogden’s life came crashing to a halt after he was instantly paralyzed in a skiing accident. By staring his excuses in the eye he found new legs to live life standing taller.

Jeff Hill, PhD, and Tammy Hill, LMFT Igniting Joy in Marriage: Sparks that Light the FireTammy is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Provo, UT, and Jeff is a professor of Family Life at BYU. Both widowed, they have experienced the challenge and joy blending a family of 12 children.

H. James Christensen, MD, and Janet Christensen Finding Joy in Temple AttendanceJames and Janet were called to preside over the Denmark Copenhagen Mission in 2004. They also served as missionaries to the England Missionary Training Centre, and President and Matron of the Copenhagen Denmark Temple.

Yvonne & Jacques Barketse Yvonne and Jacques grew up in Rwanda and both escaped during the Rwandan genocide in 1994. They now both work with refugees, wanting to help others who are experiencing similar life changes that they both experienced.

FridayOn Friday, youth ages 6–11 will start the day with games and youth ages 12–18 will enjoy a dynamic speaker, Dorie Haws, who will talk about relationships, communication, and service. All youth will spend the rest of the day at Lagoon, followed by dinner from KFC!

SaturdayOn Saturday, youth ages 6–11 will start the morning with games, while ages 12–18 hear another awesome speaker, Nathan Ogden, who will share his courageous story of survival after a skiing accident.
