MORE HISTORY. We have the world’s most comprehensive corn germplasm library. Period. Literally, billions of genomic records that have been building since the first inbred development program began in 1920. Records that are crunched by high-speed computers and run through the most sweeping and meticulous simulations. And when you put better data in, you get better products out.

To change the way corn is developed, to change how corn can perform in the field, we at Pioneer made some changes ourselves. Like implementing new technologies, testing and systems over the past decade to create a step change in performance and a product development program that can only be found at Pioneer. The Corn Revolution is now, and it is at Pioneer.

MORE BREEDING.New breeding technologies have reduced our product development time by 30% and expanded our capacity to test more lines. Not a few more. Not tenfold more. Eighteen times more per year than we did as little as a decade ago. First in the labs and greenhouses. Then in proprietary simulations. “WE’VE BEEN LEADING CORN SEED DEVELOPMENT FOR ONE HUNDRED YEARS. AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED.”

Matt Smalley, head of the North America Corn Breeding Group

MORE TESTING. A second year of testing and more decision zones for each hybrid has expanded our late-stage on-farm testing 8x. At local plots across the country, corn seeds that have made it this far undergo rigorous stress tests. Wind. Drought. Disease. Soil. Field-density. New phenotyping tools give precise measurements on how the plants respond. All to deliver proven performance to farmers.

INCREASED TESTING BY 8X

FUTURE. PROOF. The success of Pioneer® brand corn last year was nothing short of spectacular. Our 2020 advancement class held a 12.7 bu/A yield advantage, Pioneer® brand Qrome® products held an 8.2 bu/A yield advantage in corn-on-corn acres, and our 40 most-popular hybrids held a 6.1 bu/A yield advantage. We have the history. We have the future.

12.7 bu/A

2020 ADVANCEMENT CLASS, 12.7 BU/A YIELD ADVANTAGE

2020 Advancement class data is based on the average of 43,112 comparisons from 2018 and 2019 IMPACTTM plot data against all competitors, technology segment matched, unless otherwise stated, and within +/- 3 CRM of the competitive brand.

2019 data Is based on the average of 1,330+ comparisons made In the U.S. through Nov. 1, 2019. Comparisons are against all competitors, technology segment matched, unless otherwise stated, and within +/- 3 CRM of the competitive brand.

2019 Qrome® product performance data is based on the average of comparisons made in the United States through Nov. 1, 2019. Comparisons are against all competitor triple-stack products, segment matched, and within +/- 3 CRM of the competitive brand.

Product responses are variable and subject to any number of environmental, disease and pest pressures. Individual results may vary. Multi-year and multi-location data are a better predictor of future performance. DO NOT USE THIS OR ANY OTHER DATA FROM A LIMITED NUMBER OF TRIALS AS A SIGNIFICANT FACTOR IN PRODUCT SELECTION. Refer to www.pioneer.com or contact a Pioneer sales representative or authorized dealer for the latest and complete listing of traits and scores for each Pioneer® brand product.

Qrome® products are approved for cultivation in the U.S. and Canada. They have also received approval in a number of importing countries, most recently China.
