The School Instructional Technology coordinator will be trained and will assist all teachers in their school to achieve technology competency and to integrate technology into the curriculum. These people will be paid a $1065 supplement and will be asked to work some after school hours and some hours during the summer. Additional funds will be used to pay substitute teachers for five (5) days during the school year to allow these people additional time for training and for observing and assisting the teachers in their school. Duties / Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Architects, and General Contractors

Must have the ability to read blueprints; will examine plans, check for omissions and errors and will consult with engineers and architects to ensure the construction is within budget

Will ensure all plans and specifications comply with applicable building codes and handicap accessibility

Review all pay requests; verify the percentage of completion and amount of stored materials before submitting to the superintendent for approval and payment

Represent the Etowah County Board of Education at all construction meetings Verify compliance on the job site with all safety regulations; make

recommendations to ensure student safety. Verify with the Director of Maintenance (DOM) location of existing utilities and the

DOM’s preference on specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment for any new buildings

Study new building trends and make recommendations to their feasibility in our building program
