Students learn accounting applications and gain extensive hands- on experience with accounting software used in industry. Upon completion of this career option, students will be eligible to take industry recognized certifications. Fairview Campus

Career Option: Advanced Acute Care Nursing AssistantDESCRIPTION:In this career option, students will master the skills that employers need in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living centers. This is a hands-on program where students will learn the proper techniques to assist patients of all ages as they perform basic daily tasks that range from hygiene and grooming to helping patients walk, assisting wheelchair bound patients and transferring and transporting patients using safe assistive devices. Students will also learn vital signs and CPR. Upon completion of this career option, students become eligible to become certified as a nurse aide. This career option is also a platform to enter the nursing field and meets all of the pre-requisite requirements for NWTC’s Practical Nursing program.

Students learn accounting applications and gain extensive hands-on experience with accounting software used in industry. Upon completion, students will be eligible to take industry recognized certifications. Adult students have the opportunity to participate in the “on-the-job training program. A physical therapy aide has many duties such as keeping the treatment area clean and prepped and assisting patients in preparation for treatment.
