The Wizard of Oz through a Mussar Lens

The characters in the Wizard of Oz have much to teach us about true character and the middot/soul-traits that we need to cultivate in our own lives to live a life of meaning and integrity. What might this movie also have to teach us about prayer, false gods, friendship, and confronting evil in the world? How is it a metaphor for the universal spiritual journey? Please review the movie before attending this session, and be prepared to discover new spiritual perspectives on Dorothy, her friends, and her enemies.
