Photographic Identity

The details of the make-up artist were placed on a photograph of the artist’s make-up brushes to look as though they were printed on the make-up brushes them-selves.

Brief: Redesign Legit’s make-up brand Funky Diva. Design a logo and new packaging for nail varnish, lip gloss, eyeliner and bronzer.
The colour palette resonates with Legit’s revamp. Bright and bold contrasting with dark and moody. Go Glam is a bold statement to go with the attitude of Legit’s tar-get market. The pink on the back-ing will be UV spotted creating in-terest with different textures.

Rebranding
Brief: Create a comic book character by combining elements from existing characters. Make a comic book cover based on your character.
Elements from Black Widow, Emma Frost and Deadpool were merged to create the character Violet. A scene from Sin City was used to create the dark, edgy set-ting.

Cover Design
Brief: Create a minimalist poster for a movie.
The key element of going ‘through the door’ of Coraline is empha-sised and it being fragmented hints at the surrealism of what is on the other side. The cat is posi-tioned at the entrance of the door almost as a guide to the viewer’s curiosity. The poster is mostly black and white with the use of geomet-ric lines and basic shapes.

Francis’ wicked sense of humour was displayed throughout the ad-vert by contrasting the dark im-agery and distressed font with a quirky elements.

Brief: Create a logo and tri-fold menu for a concept restaurant.
Café Italia was inspired by listen-ing to a CD of Italian songs from the 50s. The background is a rus-tic, fabric texture to complement the brightly coloured food. The fonts used are simple and quirky.

Brief: Create a logo for a concept cere-al brand Newday. Design a logo for a sub-brand, a character and incorporate them into packaging.
A simplif ied sunrise is the basis for the Newday logo. The concept for the sub-brand is crackling choco-late bits in a fibre cereal. A friend-ly, funny robot is the character with the crackles in his mouth.
