If I missed anyone I apologize and just let me know and I will update. And while I’m on the thank you subject, I’d like to thank Joe Toner and Chuck Walker for slaving over the hot stove on Hot Dog night. The dogs were great guys and kudos to everyone who brought those delicious desserts. We had a good turnout that same evening with members bringing their cars and Mother Nature was good to us. Way to go girl!

COVER CAR – 1987 BMW 63CS

I bought my 1987 BMW 635CSi on March 23, 2005. It was one of the featured cars at the 2008 Hagley Car Show. It has a 3.4 liter, overhead cam 6 cylinder engine with a 4-speed automatic transmission and is air conditioned. Plenty of power and comfort. Of all the cars I have owned (46) this is my favorite.

KIMBERTON FAIR CAR DISPLAY

A little while ago I mentioned to club members that I would like to see us get more involved with the community in order to advertise or publicize the CCACC. An excellent opportunity has presented itself in that the CCACC has been invited to the Kimberton Fair.

This opportunity would take place on Saturday, July 27th. We would be presented with an area where we could display our cars and club banner to all of the visitors at the fair. The number of hours would be approximately 4 hours and are flexible but not yet determined. Once I receive commitments from club members willing to participate, then as a group we can decide what timeframe between noon and dusk we would display our vehicles. My neighbor, Gary Moore is the chairman of the fair and upon my request presented this great opportunity to me and the CCACC. I hope we can make a good showing at the fair and to the community as well as enjoy some of the fair donuts and other good food while showing off our car. Please give me a call to sign up. THANKS!!!

With great weather the annual club cook-out was a huge success. Lots of hot dogs with sauerkraut and baked beans. Kept everyone well fed. Also a good variety of desserts. Thanks to all of you that helped.

NEWSLETTER POSITION OPEN FOR 2020 NEED VOLUNTEER

JUST A RMINDER, POSTED LAST MONTH, NO RESPONSE - NOVEMBER WILL BE HERE BEFORE WE KNOW IT. WE NEED THIS POSITION FILLED.

Ten years ago Betty Shingle volunteered to take over the CCACC newsletter if I would take care of any articles needing typing. At that time Betty handled the final stage putting it in order on the computer to make the 6 pages we needed. After her passing, my daughter in law has been coming every month and putting it together for me to take to Staples for copying. It does not have to be one person, it can be 1, 2 or more people taking care of it every month. Our members will give you a cover car & story and different ones will send you articles. Right after the meeting, I order my next month cover car and when it arrives, I put the labels and stamps on it, so it is ready for the contents. Articles due by the 10th of the month and newsletter needs to be ready by the 3rd Tuesday of each month. It is not a hard job and once you get a routine, it just falls into place. ANNUAL JUNE COOK-OUT MONTH

Cruise night huge success. Thanks to Joe Toner & Chuck Walker for cooking the hot dogs and the Gebauer’s for the delicious bake beans and Jeannie Cassidy for the sauerkraut. (Missed you Jeannie), but enjoyed the sauerkraut. All this topped off with desserts brought in from the members. It was a relaxing fun night and enjoyed by all. Thanks to all that brought out their cars to display. We are getting spoiled because July meeting is our ice cream & all the fixins night. Come out and make your sundae and enjoy.
