PCS Happenings

Two Member Churches Hit the 100-student MarkTwo of our member churches have 100 PCS students; Bethel and Triumph! We are so thankful for the awesome partnership with our member churches, the Christian home, and PCS. Bethel has partnered with PCS since 1981, Triumph since 1996. To celebrate this milestone of 100 students, PCS served the Bethel staff a lunch on November 18th. 5th graders in Mrs. Striker‘s class made placemats for the luncheon utilizing the number 100. We enjoyed a great time of fellowship. A Triumph celebration is in the works.

Blue Preferred Coupon Book Sales UpdateAs of November, 3,061 Blue Preferred Coupon books have been sold with a profit of $38,262.50 for PCS! Thank you for working hard to sell books!!!

sew (Spiritual Emphasis Week)Jr/Sr High SEW PCS had the great privilege of having Doug Rogness share five times during Spiritual emphasis Week. Doug challenged us to seek the face of God. He emphasized that when you have someone‘s face they are present and you have their attention. Seeking the face of God is worth it! From throwing cheeseburgers into the crowd to help emphasize a hunger for something, to hiding $50 in the gym to demonstrate the passion of seeking after what we desire and doubling that for the finder to demonstrate God‘s abundance, students were challenged and encouraged in their walks with the Lord. Special thanks to Doug Rogness for speaking. Thank you, Miss Fogderud, Chris Schuster, and some great alumni, Brock Aamodt, Andrew Stone and Carl Bumgarner for leading music. Pictured are some of the service projects PCS students were involved in all over town, including a patriotic choir tour, cleaning PCS bleachers, Great Plains Food Bank, New Life Center, Dakota Boys Ranch, Northview Church, and Charism.

Come check out our completed expansion & renovation!

Elementary SEWDiane and John Windle from Forest Springs Camp & Conference Center in Westboro, Wisconsin came and led elementary chapel performing Harry and Company. John and Diane lead in worship, storytelling, and used puppets to enrich the Bible messages. As part of Spiritual Emphasis Week, each class chose a service project to participate in. The 4th graders made goodie bags full of treats and thank you notes to deliver to the Fargo Police Department for their SEW service project. They wanted to express how much we appreciate the work they do to keep our community safe.

It was a privilege and honor to serve this great nation and defend the freedoms we enjoy today as Americans. As a young recent high school graduate, I trusted God and embarked on a journey that would change my life forever. Over the last 15 years, I have had the privilege to watch the next generation grow up in a country where they can freely serve a loving God because of the sacrifices made by so many of my fellow service members. The weight of their sacrifice has been heavy for me through the years. Today, while listening to you perform the hymns of the 5 services, I was overcome with a sense of peace and gratitude I have not felt in years. You may think you just performed simple hymns today, but for me, God used your voices to give me a renewed sense of peace about my military experiences. I would like to thank each of you as your performance was freeing for me. Please be in prayer for our current service members as well as all the veterans that have served this great nation. I will continue to pray for PCS as I have seen first-hand today how God is using your school for His Kingdom. Kindest Regards,David Sigler

PCS honors and recognizes Veterans each year with a special all-school Veteran’s Day chapel and a Sr. High Choir tour to the VA Hospital and various retirement homes. This year, the 4th graders, 2nd graders, senior high choir, and PCS parent, veteran Petty Officer, 2nd Class, Justin Stocke, United States Navy, participated in the program. After the program, we received this e-mail to be read to the choir, used by permission. Mr. Sigler’s desire is that his words and story give God the glory by encouraging and helping other veterans.
