Traveling to experience the places and activities that authentically represent the stories and people of the past and present. It includes historic, cultural and natural resources.

Hood River County Fruit Loop Heirloom Apple Celebration
Tasty classic apple varietiesmany now quite rareare at the center of this festival, along with delicious fresh cider, gourmet food, country fun, and lots more. "Heirloom" or "classic" apples can trace their heritage back 100 years or more and their individual flavors and aromas have been compared to different vintages of wine. This is the perfect weekend to discover and taste some of the old apple varieties that have all but disappeared from commercial American orchards.
