Industries, Suven Life Sciences etc as its key clients.

Our continuous investment in research and development

generates a steady flow of Fine Chemicals and API

Intermediates enabling timely introduction of new

products in the market. So far, Jay has developed more

than 1 0 products – a few of them with no CAS numbers5

– catering to different segments, while manufacturing

products which are commercially competitive and meet

the most stringent quality standards.

Apart from having a strong Research and Development

department with wel l equipped laboratory and

experienced chemists, we have been regularly

collaborating with prestigious research and development

academic institutions like lIT, UICT, NCL, NEERI etc. since

last 18 years.

Jay Chemicals' manufacturing facility, over 7000 sq

meters in area, is situated at Vapi, which is 200 kms away

from Mumbai. The multipurpose and flexible plant has

three lines of production, of which, one is exclusively

dedicated to pharma intermediates.

Future Growth:

With an eye towards consistent and sustainable growth,

Jay Chemicals has planned two new projects to be

executed sequentially:

Manufacture of APl intermediates and Fine

Chemicals (Synthetic Organic Chemicals) in Vapi

New upcoming set-up on an area of 10,556 sq m about 1

km from our existing facility in Vapi. Planned buildings

include a GMP facility, set-up for Catalytic Hydrogenation

and Grignard reactions, with a strong focus on green

chemistry and competitive innovation.

Setup in Dahej

We have recently acquired 130,000 sq m of land in

Dahej, located in Southern Gujarat -380 kms north of

Mumbai, India. After commencement of operations at

Vapi, we shall expand our API, Advanced Intermediate and

Fine Chemical manufacturing activities.

Waste Management

Jay has full fledged ETP consisting of primary,Chemicals

secondary and tertiary treatment. Major equipment include

Equalisation tanks, aeration tank, secondary settling tank,

carbon column, aeration blower, neutralisation tank,

flocculant preparation tank with dosing system and filter

press. Further waste management is carried out at the

Central ETP and Common SWD (Solid Waste Depository) in

Vapi while incinerable waste is sent to BEIL (Bharuch Enviro

Infrastructure Ltd).

Our Methodology (along the 4 R's system):

Jay is R&D oriented company andChemicals an

manufacturing process of all products are developed in-

house and then further scaled up for commercial production.

Waste water management scheme is concurrently devised

at the process development stage itself and effluents

generated are characterised and analysed in detail. Priority is

given to recycling mother liquor or wash liquor back to the

process by suitable treatment to remove contaminants so

that final product quality is not affected.

For streams with high inorganic contents, organics are

destroyed by advanced oxidation process and salts are

recovered in saleable form by evaporation of water in MEE

followed by crystallisation, filtration and drying. Evaporated

water is reused in process after suitable treatment by

membrane separation system.
