Cannes Film Festival is famous for its exclusive villa and yacht parties.

But Jason Statham opted to party in a nightclub as he was spotted out in Cannes on Friday.

The actor joins the bevvy of stars who have flocked to the French rivera for the film festival but Jason chose to party with local revelers at Gotha Club instead of the A-list bashes.

Jason is famously dating supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who he was last seen with during a romantic date in London in April.

The pair were pictured kissing passionately at the back of a taxi but have been apart since then due to their busy schedules.

However, Jason couldn't pass the opportunity to lounge on a yacht as he was seen on Topshop owner, Sir Phillip Green's luxurious yacht, Eden Roc.

Jason will reprise his role as Lee Christmas in The Expendables 3 - due out August 15 - with Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And he has also filmed his role in Fast and Furious 7, which had its released date pushed back due to the tragic passing of one of the lead actors, Paul Walker.
