Team Development

• Team offense, needs team drills!

• Bird-Dog Drill – Do everyday more at the

beginning of week!– When mistakes occur fix with the

Bird-Dog– Every step must be perfect

• Run it with 12 different tags.

• The basis of the offense– Must execute vs. every front

known to man. – Force them to defend you

based offense, not a home run based offense.

PLAY: 46 (57) Super Power CONCEPT: Power Series

Motion: Rip/Liz left wing takes 45º bucket step full speed cross-over step, then plant with the right foot, off of plant step the back should work his shoulders square to the LOS and down hill as fast and as hard as possible. Allowing for three cut options.

QB: Reverse out right foot should turn to a 9 o’clock position followed by a 2:30 step. Pull ball to belly on snap pitch a dead ball to motion back. Lead through hole kicking out first player to the outside. Block inside out

FSTE: Listen for Elephant call (Double) to Maverick FST: Make Giraffe or Elephant call to determine double team, if 1st defender is inside of you it is a Giraffe call otherwise it should be a elephant (double with end)

BSTE: Shoeshine to pizza FSG: Listen for Giraffe call (Double) to Maverick to Jewel

FSWB: Block first player to the inside on level two, attack DE on first two steps then evade aiming a yard in front of the 1st LB inside, if LB widens block him out if he fills meet him prior to the hole.

C: Jewel to man away (potential maverick call)

BSWB: Liz motion, catch pitch, cover ball with two arms, get downhill hard and gain four tough yards.

PLAY: 57 (46) C. Counter CONCEPT: Power Series

Motion: Rip/Liz left wing takes 45º bucket step full speed cross-over step, then plant with the right foot, off of plant step the back should work his shoulders square to the LOS and down hill as fast and as hard as possible.

QB: Reverse out 9 o’clock step followed by a 6 o’clock step gain depth from the LOS. Pull ball to belly on snap eye’s go to motion back, place ball in left hand and give forearm length ride to opposite WB place right hand on hip, carry are hard keep fake until outside the tackle box, then rollover and rock the cradle to the end zone or the echo of the whistle.

FSTE: Listen for Elephant call (Double) to Maverick FST: Make Giraffe or Elephant call to determine double team, if 1st defender is inside of you it is a Giraffe call otherwise it should be a elephant (double with end)

BSG: Trap pull, drop inside foot to toe, second step into the LOS on path to place on the inside hip of the defender.

FB: Jab to backside then work hip to hip with the tackle, when in the hole look to kick out the first defender to your outside.

BST: Drop step with inside foot then power pull (Crossover, Open, get up field eyes always on Inside backer) do not stop running or look back.

PLAY: 3 Wedge CONCEPT: Power Series

Motion: Rip/Liz left wing takes 45º bucket step full speed cross-over step, then plant with the right foot, off of plant step the back should work his shoulders square to the LOS and down hill as fast and as hard as possible.

PLAY: 38 (29) Zap CONCEPT: Striker Series

Motion: Rip/Liz left wing takes 45º bucket step full speed cross-over step, then works back towards the heels of the Fullback. It is critical that his path is flat.

QB: Reverse out 9 o’clock step followed by a 6 o’clock step (to the midline). Pull ball to belly on snap, place ball in the belly of the motion back. Carry hard boot fake rocking the cradle all the way to the end zone, we will buy you a pizza if you score before the whistle.

FSTE: Base Block man on, can utilize cut technique. FST: Power pull technique blocking and wheeling on the strong side linebacker.

BSTE: Pizza Block FSG: Power pull technique blocking the invert safety to CB

FSWB: Attack the outside number of the contain defender, if he forces contain wheel and block him to the sideline if he allows to be hooked, hook him.

C: Shoeshine

BSWB: Liz motion, off plant step attack heels of fullback at full speed after taking hand-off plant on the foot near to the LOS gain small amount of depth with two hands over football, read the FSWB’s block on the contain defender.

BSG: G Pull the opposite direction leading the boot keep fake.

Pass Game Instruction

• Throw for Homeruns• Attend and utilize 7-on-7’s

– Run your offensive plays don’t worry about winning the 7-on-7

– Make sure kids understand goal is execution not 7-on-7 production.

• Run every route every day– Warm-up simple line drill

• Throw under duress– Even vs. air walk players at QB

• Team 12 plays in five minutes– All protection bring 9 no coverage– We won’t have problems getting

players open.
