pueblo dominicano al celebrar la Fiesta de su Protectora,

la Virgen de la Altagracia. Comenzaremos con una misa

solemne en la

Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes y después tendre-

mos un compartir. Inviten a todos sus familiares y conoci-

dos,

especialmente a los que están alejados de la iglesia, para

que la bendición de ese día pueda llegar también a todas

sus familias.

NOVENA DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA ALTA-

GRACIA: Desde el 12 al 20 de Enero

A las 6:15 P.M. en la capilla de la iglesia de Lourdes.

después de la misa de las 12:30pm en la Iglesia.

Novena and Feast of Our Lady of the Altagracia. Our brothers and sisters from the Hispanic community will soon

celebrate their protective mother, Our Lady of the HIGH

GRACE. They invite you to participate in the Mass that will take

place on Tuesday, January 21 in our Parish at 7:00pm. The

Novena will be prayed every day at 6:15 P.M. in Our Lady of

Lourdes chapel beginning on January 12, on Sundays the nove-

na will be prayed after the 12:30 P.M. Mass in the Church.

The MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE, is intended

to help couples to understand and appreciate the beauty of

Christian marriage. Our meetings will happen on Thursdays at

7:30PM, at St. Thomas Aquinas’ lower church.

We will have free babysitting service.

The Epiphany of the Lord We know this story so well it is a good example of perseverance. The Magi were determined to follow the star - “overjoyed at seeing the star. . . and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother... and did him homage.” Our culture urges us to follow a lot of “stars” these days: sports stars, rock stars, movie stars, stars famous for any number of reasons. But the question is, do they lead us to Christ? Maybe it’s time to take a lesson from the Magi and look for Christ. These other “stars” will come and go but Jesus Christ will never leave us!

La Epifanía de Nuestro Señor

Sabemos muy bien que esta historia es un ejemplo de perseverancia. Los magos estaban determina-dos a seguir la estrella- “ y al verla, se llenaron de inmensa alegría… y al entrar vieron al niño con María su madre… y cayendo de rodillas lo adora-ron” Nuestra cultura nos anima así a seguir a mu-chas “estrellas”: estrellas del deporte, estrellas de rock, estrellas de películas, estrellas famosas por cualquier razón. Pero la pregunta es, ¿esas estrellas nos están llevando a Cristo? Tal vez es tiempo de aprender la lección de los magos e ir a buscar a Cristo. Estas otras “estrellas” ¡van y vienen, pero Je-sús nunca nos abandona.
