IMPORTANT INFORMATIONBASE PREPARATIONWhen buying any garden building, it is necessary to construct abase for your building to be erected onto. This does not need to beelaborate as long as it is level and firm. This can be done by aconcrete slabbed base (see price sheet).

When your base is level a choice of tanalised bearers (see price onpage 5) which would be laid under the building in the oppositedirection to the floor joist, this enables a building to be lifted offthe ground so it is away from any surface water and allows air toflow underneath your building.

However, if we arrive and the base is unsuitable there will be anadditional charge and we will return at a later date and erect onthe level base.

When choosing a site or the size of your building, you need toensure there is no height restrictions that can hinder the arrival ofyour building e.g. alleyways or arch topped gates and that thefitters can gain access to the designated area and around thebuilding for erecting.

AFTERCAREAll our buildings are pre-treated in a water based solution: toextend the life of your shed we recommend that you treat themagain immediately after erection.

As wood is a natural product some expansion and shrinkage canoccur. This is not something we can prevent. The roofing felt ismade for use on sheds and summerhouses, on an occasion the feltcan ripple, and is due to varying temperature changes and not anerror with the material used.

To ensure all products are fulfilling customers needs, we areconstantly reviewing our models and prices and reserve the right tochange specifications without notice.

PLACING AN ORDER

On ordering your building a 15% deposit would need to be made,then the outstanding balance will be paid either prior to yourbuilding being delivered and erected or on the day direct to Shawsfor Sheds Limited.

All deposits are non-refundable.

DELIVERYWhen an order is placed you will be given an estimated timescaleof when your delivery will take place. Shaws for Sheds will contactyou beforehand to confirm a day and time. We can also removecustomer’s existing sheds, please enquire when placing your order.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Standard:

Made from 12mm x 125mm tongued and grooved shiplap on sidesand ends and matchboard on floor and roof, 50mm x 32mmframing with eased edges. These also include: Polyester greenmineral felt, horticultural glass, tee hinges, lock and key andenvironmentally friendly base preservative.

Heavy Duty:

Made from 12mm x 125mm tongued and grooved shiplap on theside and ends and matchboard on the floor and roof, 50mm x50mm frame with uprights, diagonal bracing, polyester greenmineral felt, horticultural glass, tee hinges, lock and key andenvironmentally friendly base preservative.

Security:

Same as standard but with frame at 12" centres, diagonal bracing,security padbolt protector, bolted hinges and 2 x 2 fully frameddoor.

Log lap:

16mm x 100mm tongue and grooved barrel board.

On any apex and pent shed the quantity of windows would varydepending on door position and door size.

All models can be supplied with no windows, for no extra charge.

All our products are manufactured usingquality material and all staff are fullyqualified in the making of gardenbuildings.

All our buildings are pre-treated in awater based solution; however werecommend that you treat them againimmediately after erection and yearlythereafter. As wood is a natural productsome expansion and shrinkage canoccur. This is not something we canprevent.

We also use a polyester felt which is abetter product than the standard shedfelt; however, this does not guarantee wecan prevent any damages due to adverseweather conditions.

Slabbed Base

If using concrete slabs then sand would need to belaid down first onto firm ground. The slabs wouldthen need to be bedded into the sand making surethat they are laid level.

Floor Bearers

These are tanalised treated timber of 3 x 3, whichwould be laid under the building in the oppositedirection to the floor joist. This enables a buildingto be lifted off the ground so it is away from anysurface water and allows air underneath yourbuilding.
