Montana Fish, Wildlie & Parks has developed aDraf Environmental Assessment(EA) or the proposed action o purchasing a 30-oot wide permanent road easement in northernPhillips County, and is seeking public comment on theproposal. Te proposed Joiner Coulee Access Easementwould allow the public to cross approximately one-mile o an existing road on private land, off o theNorth Dodson Road, to allow access to both BLM andState land. Te easement would be granted by WetlandsAmerica rust Inc., a division o Ducks Unlimited(DU), and would be held by FWP.
Te proposed easement road has been usedpredominately by the hunting public to access BLMand DNRC lands adjacent to the Cottonwood Creek
drainage through private land enrolled in the FWPBlock Management Program since 2004.
Te public comment period on the draf EA willextend through 5:00 pm, Feb. 5, 2016. Te Draf EA,and opportunity to comment, is available online atwp.mt.gov.
