Guests

Living Out Renewed LivesRomans 12: 1-2 1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will

Living Out Renewed LivesMain Point for Today:

As believers, God’s will for our lives will not become evident until we sacrificially test ourselves by choosing a different path than the path this world offers.

Living Out Renewed Lives1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s Mercy………Romans 11:17-21 -- 17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

Living Out Renewed Lives1 … to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to GodRomans 6:13 -- Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousnessRomans 6:19 -- I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.

Living Out Renewed Lives

• Find a place to serve – If possible, with your spouse

• If you are single, get a friend or someone with the same gift, and start serving together

• Consider committing to service in an area for a year

(And don’t be afraid to serve in an area outside of your comfort zone)

Living Out Renewed Lives1 Corinthians 15:3-8 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas,[b] and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also
