This past year, a number of organiza-tions that put the environment at the topof the list of critical issues have beensweeping the nation. And in the nicolaValley, the environment has been a realfight for many people, for many months.
It’s all now culminating with the immi-nent federal election. And between move-ments to get young Canadians &Aboriginal people to vote & movementsto enshrine a healthy environment, weCanadians might yet get the chance tomake a different in the world.
Blue Dot MovementBlue Dot is a project of the David
suzuki Foundation to join the rising tideof people across the country who wantour right to breathe fresh air, drink cleanwater and eat healthy food legally recog-nized at all levels of government.
There are currently 84,226 Canadiansin the Blue Dot Movement. neil Youngdonated $100,000 to the Blue Dot Move-ment on Monday evening during hisconcert in Vancouver. (neil Young’s per-sonal environmental website is:goearth.org

The Leap Manifesto The Leap Manifesto calls for a Canada
