MATT MILLS
PRESENTATION ON
AURASMA
Technology that can make your phone see and understand like a
human brain does
Aurasma did most of the workBecause it’s so innovative and exciting!
Imagine pointing your phone at a work of art or a sign or any picture or object and having your phone talk to you about the object or play a memory or give instructions.
Art moves and talks!
• If you move the object the animation follows• The picture can have sound• This gives art even more educational value
Here we can see a practical use.Point phone at the router for more
instructions. Clever!
Truly helpful technology!
Tether Video to anything
As she plays with Aurasma
she is recorded
onto a slip of card
and shown to the
audience by Matt
This girl is using
Aurasma.The pictures
in her school are talking to her and
helping the teacher keep her attention

Matt was a very compelling speaker.
He kept his audiences attention
He didn’t appear nervousHe spoke clearlyHe made people smile
In comparison to Duarte’s method:
•He played to the audiences desires and treated them as King•Some of his demos told stories•He spread ideas of creative and practical uses for this tech.
In comparison to Reynolds’ approach
•He kept it simple •He let the technology do the presenting•He only used half the alotted time
Ted CommandmentMost exemplified:
#2 Dream a great dream
If the ability to point your phone at anythingand get a story or a song or more informationfrom seemingly nowhere isn’t a great dream
then my definition is flawed.
When comparing to Sir Ken’s Presentation:
• Sir Ken Told more stories and offered more personal information.
• Sir Ken kept the audience laughing throughout
• Sir Ken needed no visual aids• Sir Ken’s dream seemed loftier
to me…grander
Dynamics: 4/5While Matt is an accomplished
speaker I feel he could have used a bit more emotion or humor.
He kept the audience’s attention and smiles on most of their faces so I give him a four out ot five.
What I learned from Matt:
• You don’t need fireworks and dancing girls to keep an audience enthused (however a capable assistant who dresses smartly is always good)
• Sometimes what you are presenting is so novel that it can lessen your workload greatly
• When in doubt show children and dinosaurs!
