1. The list is provisional and is subject to:

(i) The satisfaction of the eligibility criteria as notified earlier.

(ii) The verification of the equivalence of marks/degree from other universities

to that of this University where applicable.

(iii) Correction in the merit position due to error, if any. Any candidate who

does not satisfy the eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission,

even if he/she is provisionally selected for admission by mistake.

2. All admissions are provisional.

3. All applicants must have completed results of Bachelor’s Degree course or

equivalent degree from any university/institute recognized by the UGC.

4. An applicant shall not be considered for admission if s/he is already enrolled in a

regular degree course or equivalent in any other university/institute or in any other

department of Jadavpur University.

3. Other instructions as had been given in the instruction sheet supplied with the

application form must also be consulted.

4. Candidates will be required to bring the following at the time of counselling

and admission: (i) 3 (three) recent passport size photographs.

(ii) All original mark-sheets of the examinations passed, certificate/admit

card of madhyamik or equivalent examination for age verification,

SC/ST/OBC/Sports/Training certificates from competent authorities, in

the names of the candidates themselves and candidate’s family income

certificate.

The fees are non-refundable. If a student cancels his/her admission, he/she may apply

for refund of the fees. The fees will be refunded only if any candidate on the waiting

list is admitted against the vacancy created. However, under no circumstances, the

fees will be refunded before the completion of the academic session 2018 – 2019.

5. Date and time of couselling of provisionally selected candidates: on

20.3.2018 at 12.00 noon.

Venue: Office of the Head, Department of Physical Education.

6. If a candidate fails to appear on the specified date and time for counselling,

the next candidate in order of merit will be considered for admission. The

candidate absent on 20.3.2018, will also NOT be considered for admission

against vacancy (if any) at a later date.

7. Date and time of admission of provisionally selected candidates: on

27.3.2018 at 12.00 noon.

Venue: Office of the Muster Roll Section, Jadavpur University.

8. Students are to report to the Office of the Head, Department of

Physical Education immediately after the admission.

9. The waitlisted candidates must report at 2.30 p.m. on 20.3.2018 at the

office of the Head, Department of Physical Education, Jadavpur

University (Main Campus). The vacant seats, if any, will be filled up in order

of merit from amongst the waitlisted candidates. Their names will be called at

3.00 p.m. If any candidate fails to turn up the seat will be offered to the next

candidate in the list. They will also be required to produce all original mark

sheets and certificates. The process will continue till the vacant seats are filled

up. The rest of the candidates are advised to record their attendance on

20.3.2018 at 3.30 p.m. at the office of the Head, Department of Physical

Education, Jadavpur University.

10. Candidates admitted to the B.P. Ed. Course should have at least 60% attendance of

total classes at the end of 7 working days counted from the date of commencement

of classes/date of admission of the candidate whichever is later, failing which their

studentship will be treated as cancelled without further reference. Waitlisted

candidates are advised to enquire again on July 12, 2018 for admission

against the vacancy created.

11. Jadavpur University has accepted in principle that each and every student of the

University shall be duty bound during the entire period of studentship with the

University to immediately report to the Dean of Students if any ragging is noticed

either in University Hostel or on University campus.

If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority and his/her

explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority should expel him/her from the

University.

12. Students must report with a fitness certificate recently issued (not before June 15,

2018) by a registered Doctor on 02.7.2018. Classes will commence on and

from 02.7.2018 at 12 noon.
