Joke of the Month: How do you find Will Smith in the Snow?
-Answer at the end of the Newsletter
“Jacie’s Monthly View”
Dear Division 26D,
From April 28 to May 1, 2016 I had the fantastic
opportunity to attend our Annual District Confer-
ence. It was just a wonderful experience, I mostly
enjoyed meeting all of you as well as the new Board
of Trustees of the Florida District. Next year’s
DCON will be from March 30– April 2, 2017. Mark
that on your calendar! You can find the New Board contact information on
the last page. This year is going to be an amazing year of Service, to help
our home, school, and communities. I plan to create unity within this divi-
sion as well as create more service projects so the entire Cayman Islands will
know who we are: Future Leaders! In these Newsletters we will be highlight-
ing up-coming Key events and activities, so stay tuned!
Yours in Service,
Lieutenant Governor Jacie Mascarenhas

Clubs In Division 26D
We are Family! What makes Key Club and Kiwanis effective is the de-gree to which the adults (Kiwanians and Faculty Advi-sors) interact with the students in your Key Clubs such that there is a mutual feeling of being valued, appreciat-ed, and respected. Key Clubbers should spend more time listening, appreciating Kiwanians and visa versa. We might all be pleasantly surprised by what we learn from each other. Some ways that we can unite in service to our fellow humans, community, school, environment and animals are to jointly charter a new K-Kids or Builders Club. Ask Kiwanians to get involved with a project of your Key Club where we can assist, similar to how Kiwanis ask your Key Clubs to assist in the Kiwanis Bike-a-thon (Kiwanibike). It’s not only to help out in service, Kiwanis hopes that through the spirit of comradery it can bring us closer and hopefully we can all enjoy the Fellowship of the K-Family. We want you to become a fan and lifelong member of the greatest service family. Invite the Kiwanians to speak at your meeting. Have an Interclub with other K-Family Clubs. Invite your Kiwanis Advisor to your club board meetings. Make sure Kiwanian(s) attend your Key Club’s regular meetings. Call the Kiwanis Club President (or Advisor) and let her/him know your concerns. Meet with Kiwanis and let them know how they can finan-cially support your Key Club. Organize a K-Family event with all clubs in attendance. Visit your sponsoring Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman at least twice annually. We are Family! receive this.
The Florida Opportunity Fund

available only in the Florida District

ever, schools must provide the rest.

“Feeding Our Future!”
This year, our Governor Martha Grace Hagan has
created a service project for the entire District called
“Feeding our Future”. This year we will be working
and volunteering to help our youth as well as teen-
agers such as ourselves. Feeding our Future not on-
ly involves feeding people physically with food and
helping the homeless, but also feeding the minds of
children through education and literacy. Projects
that you can do for Feeding our Future include: cre-
ating gardens, food drives, Kiwanis Book Mobile
and maybe even Key Club tutoring to kids. The ser-
vice opportunities are endless!

“The Membership Game”
Starting in September, Division 26D will be

the most potential members to their club
meeting in the time span of a month, will re-
ceive a prize from me at the
next DCM. This is some-
thing that you do not want
to miss out on! Who will
win? It’s up to you!
