The importance of a car wash is frequently overlooked, but serve to prevent some real mechanical issues as well as keeping your car looking good.

Underneath

Underneath the vehicle is where the mechanics meet the road: Brakes, rotors, calipers, springs, axles and transaxles all should to be clear of rust, dirt, and debris to operate at their best.

Car wash stations are a great resource as they will clean the belly of the beast, most likely you will pay extra for this

option, but worth the benefits.

Outside

Tar is sometimes only visible by getting up close and personal, but removing even the smallest specs of tar will make your car look that much better.

Organic Material can be anything from animal droppings to ;indigenous plants, tree fruit, nuts or bugs, and can usually be removed with soap and water.

Scuffs may look like there’s no hope, but may just need a cotton rag and a little elbow grease, sometimes wax.

Heavy Residue is usually caused by a combination of the three.

Headlights

Its no secret that lights don’t work as well when they’re covered with dust or dirt.

Clean them as often as needed, headlights get hot and will bake debris making it harder to get off.

Dirty headlights can drastically reduce the distance you are able to see.

It’s also important others can see you.

Inside

Dirty gauges and clutter obviously make it more difficult to safely operate a vehicle.

A car wash won’t help the inside of the windows, so this is all you.
