ABOUT ME
Education2015: Pre-University Program Foundation In Natural and Built Environment ( FNBE ) Taylor’s Lakeside Univeristy
2009-2013: Secondary school at SMJK Chan Wa
“Good designs are a lot like clear thinking made visual with absolute precision, simplicity, functionality which will come together as one.”
MY Interest“I enjoy creating my own artworks and designs where I imply them in almost everything I do like drawing or even in culinary arts. I couldn’t resist in implementing my own twist and designs in every single thing I come across”
Inspiration“Just a spark will do the trick when I go across a word, a picture, a gesture or even an emotion. Other than that, endless RESEARCHES !!!!!!”
Achievements“Merely being able to survive FNBE makes me proud of myself, besides, I was shortlisted in the Dean List for my Semester 1’s result. I’m also proud that I’m a far more matured person now .”

This project is mainly to expose us to the basic design elements through perceiving nature and the built environment by sketching them. It trains us to imply basic design principles through the sketches and abstract artworks.
THE PROCESS: The ones that got rejected and needs a re-do due to the wrong drawing method used.
THE FINAL BOARDS: Satisfied when looking at my own work as I have put in ten-fold efforts in each of them.

5 PROJECT 1B DAILY ITEMS
The task is to produce nine simple abstract art works with an extra 10th artwork when view as a whole using the given daily materials to show understanding of design principles, elements and composition.
THE PROCESS: from left to right photo of our first group discussion/the first 9 artwork that we came out with/ our research about our given material, exploration, design principles and elements.
THE PROCESS: from left to right the process of making our artwork- the clipping method/ process of making our presentation board on the rubber sheet/ the 3 artworks tht we have accomplished in 2 days.

5 PROJECT 2A 2D to 3D exploration
The task is to understand the meaning & action of the word given with an architect for inspiration to transform words into 2D drawings then finally to 3D models to express the word given.
THE PROCESS: making the 3D models in x-space during our first tutorial session
MY GROUP MATES: me/tam zhao wei/ tan min chuen/ barbara chang huey yi
THE PROGRESS: the 9 2D drawings- lines/ shapes/ inspiration from the architect given the 9 mock-up models - model board/ cardboard & polystyrene / selected materials - netting, cable ties, metal wire

5 PROJECT 2B HANGING MOBILE DISPLAY
The task is to choose a character and understands it's character, personality, abilities and etc. Then, a keyword that best represent the character is chosen to be further developed into a 3D hanging mobile.
THE PROCESS: left to right pin up tutorial session for DPJ3/ show mock-up models
THE PROCESS: using chosen materials- white rubber band, thick metal wire, sponge, red rubber band, metal rings
THE FINAL OUTCOME : we got the chance to display our works at CODA where we hang our final model and presentation boards from above while placing our progress which are the mock-up models and DPJs on the pedestal i made myself.

INTRODUCTION TO DESIGNFOUNDATION IN NATURAL AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT (FNBE)
01/15INTAKE
to me, introduction to design is a process where i am exposed to the design process of any artwork or even projects which will definitely
come in handy when handling new project briefs upon entering degree. It also provides a platform to ameliorate my critical thinking
as well as creativity without the absent of functionality. It is a lifetime process that I will have to go through every single time I am
dealing with any architectural projects.
This subject also act as a quintessential indoctrination for me to comprehend the constituent of a design which are the design
principles, elements, transformation and materials. This allows me to be able to come out with design that are more appropriate and more interesting after implying those design components. Therefore, this subject is a training ground for us to be well-prepared for harder
design projects during degree.
recorded and documented in my portfolio are all the process and final outcome of each project that i have went through in this
module. each part of the progress are extremely important as it is crucial to go through the design process to achieve the best
outcome at the end. Thus, there is no shortcut in producing an excellent design.
