Since 1966, Geelong local businesses and their valued employees have been supporting the community through the Loaned Executive Program.

Each year, the team of Loaned Executives play a pivotal role to the success of the Give Where You Live Workplace Giving Program, helping to raise vital funds for Geelong’s most vulnerable people.

Loaned Executives undertake initial training provided by The Gordon. Then, for a period of 8 weeks, the Loaned Executives visit workplaces to thank current Workplace Giving contributors for their support and encourage others to join the Give Where You Live Workplace Giving Program.

THE ROLE OF A LOANED EXECUTIVE

The Loaned Executive Program provides many great benefits for your local business. Consider nominating a valued employee (or employees) to be part of the 2015 Loaned Executive Team and • Lead an organisation which people are proud to be part of • Display community leadership to your business peers • Encourage your employees to become more aware of the needs of local people • Be clearly seen as giving back to the community in which you do business

THE WIN FOR YOUR BUSINESS

As a business, nominating an employee as a Loaned Executive is a win-win-win. It clearly demonstrates Hanlon Industries’ commitment to the community. Our nominee comes back to us having gained valuable skills and awareness. And the community also wins because of the efforts of our employee to promote Workplace Giving.

Teresa HanlonGeneral Manager Hanlon Industries

We see the Loaned Executive Program as a great opportunity to give back to the Geelong community and for our employees to benefit as well. We nominate staff who will benefit from the interactions with other strong personnel and professionals that are engaged by Give Where You Live in the Loaned Executive Program. Skills including public speaking, presentation, time management and engaging with customers are attributes we value back in the workplace.

Being part of the Loaned Executive Program meant that I could have a positive impact on the future of the Geelong community. By encouraging employees to donate to workplace giving means we can all contribute to the bigger picture of helping others in our community.

THE WIN FOR THE LOANED EXECUTIVE

The 2014 Loaned Executive Team

It was a privilege to be part of the 2014 Loaned Executive Team and to be able to support the community in such a unique way. The Program provides the opportunity to learn more about the needs of Geelong and is a great tool to develop personal skills, meet new people and strengthen networks.
