• It’s a machine with a pointed

end for making holes.

Movement of Hammer

• Generally the hammer of the rock drill moves 50~120

hertz, which means it finishes 50 to 120 cycles of

movement in a second.

• We set the cycle is 50,

and the amplitude is 0.2 cm.

• The Rock Drill digs the ground about 0.6cm in a second

• However, as time goes, the depth of digging decrease

because the ground become harder as it goes deeper
