Membership numbers grew by more than previous years but more importantly the support from our existing and new Members has increased greatly over the 12 months, recognizing our attractive and very competitive financial offers that are available to Members and their families. WECU was awarded the prestigious Canstar Award during the year for our Investment Loans and our 9.45% Outstanding Value – Low Rate Credit Card. Our $5,000 Student Scholarship Award was issued to a worthy young student. A new Business Development Consultant was placed in Adelaide to complement our Business Development Team and to grow our South Australian and Tasmanian Membership which is already taking off. The Directors, Management and Staff would like to wish all of our Members and their families a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year. Scholarship winner Jessica Nikolovski receiving the $5,000 Student Scholarship Award from the Woolworths Group Chief People Officer, Caryn Katsikogianis.

Jessica has a very high level of commitment to academic excellence, as well as pursuing co-curricular activities, volunteering and still working part time at Woolworths.

She will be pursuing a career in Science majoring in a Health based area as she would like to better understand health inequalities. Woolworths Group CEO meets the Wecu Team at Norwest

The WECU Team welcomed Brad Banducci to their Branch at Norwest in September to meet the staff and discuss the many Financial Team Member Benefits on offer to all Team Members and their families.

It was a great meeting with many strong and positive outcomes to continue the 47 year relationship between WECU and the Woolworths Group.

Debbie Yallop Debbie has over 37 years experience in the Banking Industry, including 10 years with NAB and more recently, Vic Teachers and Bank Australia.

Victoria’s home base is at Woolworths Support office at Gepps Cross in Adelaide and she also visits Tasmania on a Quarterly basis.
