Are you geng to the point that you are beginning to wonder if we will ever get back to normal workdays and weekends? Beloved as we begin to weary over the connued isolaon and days apart, let me assure you the Lord has not gone anywhere. He is doing a mighty work in us and around us and one day we will see the results. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. God has promised to never leave us nor forsake us, and He has not gone anywhere. He is sll here doing this work that we are anxious to see revealed. We feel like this has been going on forever but, this is but a moment in me compared to the Lords way of seeing me. In 2 Peter 3:8 Peter wrote, With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. This me will come to pass and we will sing praises to His Name and be together again. The word longsuffering used in the ninth verse means paent. God is very paent with His people and He always has been. Do you see the reason He is paent? God desires that none should perish. God takes no pleasure in anyone going to Hell nor does He take pleasure in anyone suffering. God loves you and wants you to know His grace and mercy. Gods desire is that we should come to know our sins, repent of them, and be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Do you know the Lord? Are you trusng the Lord in this me of waing? This me will come to pass, and I pray the Lord finds you faithfully waing on Him and trusng in Him as He completes this work He is doing. Beloved, I look forward to the day we can join together again and have worship services in the sanctuary. That day will come, but unl then, let us try and pracce some paence with the situaon just as the Lord shows His paence with us. Issue Number 18 April 28, 2020

A s the days and weeks and now even a month plus have gone by, are you beginning to wonder where the Lord is in all this? Are you getting to the point that you are beginning to wonder if we will ever get back to

normal workdays and weekends? Beloved as we begin to weary over the continued isolation and days apart, let me assure you the Lord has not gone anywhere.

He is still here doing this work that we are anxious to see revealed. We feel like this has been going on forever but, this is but a moment in time compared to the Lord’s way of seeing time. In 2 Peter 3:8 Peter wrote, “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” This time will come to pass and we will sing praises to His Name and be together again.

The word longsuffering used in the ninth verse means patient. God is very patient with His people and He always has been. Do you see the reason He is patient? God desires that none should perish. God takes no pleasure in anyone going to Hell nor does He take pleasure in anyone suffering. God loves you and wants you to know His grace and mercy. God’s desire is that we should come to know our sins, repent of them, and be cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

Do you know the Lord? Are you trusting the Lord in this time of waiting? This time will come to pass, and I pray the Lord finds you faithfully waiting on Him and trusting in Him as He completes this work He is doing.

Beloved, I look forward to the day we can join together again and have worship services in the sanctuary. That day will come, but until then, let us try and practice some patience with the situation just as the Lord shows His patience with us.

Praying for each of you, Pete

Alan’s Notes Stefan’s Thoughts My hope and prayer are that these words find you doing well and standing on the promises and truth of God’s Word! As many of us find ourselves riddled with uncertainty in our lives, I want to remind you that as Christians, God IS the anchor for our souls. In short, when God makes promises we can trust that His promises will stand true! Many of us find ourselves in the wake of this pandemic searching for something to hold us steady and secure. For some it is the unsettling news of a job lost, a lost season of experiences or the loss of a loved one. Others are facing bouts of fear, doubt, anxiety, depression, and loneliness like a person being tossed about in a raging storm. What I was reminded of, through the powerful word of God, is that as Christians our Heavenly Father holds us secure! He alone is our anchor in the middle of the storm. He holds us secure in His mighty hand and our Lord Jesus is constantly interceding to the Father on our behalf. Hebrews 6:19-20 says, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.” I pray you are reminded of the goodness of our great God and stand on the promises of God through this storm because He is with us even now.

What a fitting phrase…even now. Lord willing, EVEN NOW will be our new theme for Falls Creek this summer. Our time at Falls Creek will look a bit different this summer due to the condensed schedule. Our session at Falls Creek will be Session 2, Wednesday, July 1 s t through Saturday July 4 th. Stay tuned for more information in the weeks ahead as I will be updating our student ministry website with these new details. Also, be looking for more information concerning SUPER SUNDAYS from Super Summer. This is an alternative that Super Summer will be putting together due to the cancellation of our normal week of camp this summer. For more news and updates visit our student page at www.fbcsayrestudents.org or follow our social media outlets at @fbcsayrestudents on Instagram and @fbcsayreyouth on Twitter. Be safe and have a great week!

Brother Stefan

R esourceful is a word we use to define people who by their creativity and

imagination come up with answers to difficult issues that they face. How then does a person become resourceful? If you look at the core meaning of the word it becomes obvious. A “resourceful” person

is an individual who takes advantage of the resources that are available to them. They do not need to possess special knowledge or capability. A “resourceful” person simply needs to understand what is available that can be used to address the obstacles they face. The key resource available to you and I as believers is prayer. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” Starting with prayer, we can then avail ourselves of multitudes of other resources that are within reach as directed by our faithful Father. Pray now for your National, State, City & Church leaders and other faithful people as we determine how to begin returning to an effective place in our ministries. There are many unanswered questions to address in a circumstance that is unprecedented in our lifetime. Pray that we can make good, wise decisions that will provide for the optimum benefit and health of the whole church. Most of all pray and ask God, “How can I make a difference for the sake of Your Kingdom in the world as it is today?”

Faithfully asking for His guidance,

Brother Alan
