Jobs should NOT be entered on Employer Accounts that are
Deleted, Disabled by Staff or Disabled by Schedule
Please check the status of your employer prior to posting a job.
The best way to check the status of your employer is to click "User
Search" on the left side of "My Home Page" then under "Refine
Search" click "Employer." In the "Who" field, type the company
name, FEIN and/or username then “Search.”
Staff are currently unable to enter a job order when an employer
account status is "Deleted.”
Staff can enter a job posting when the employer is in a
"Disabled by Schedule" or "Disabled by Staff" status, however,
that job posting will not be available in a job search.
If the account status is "Disabled by Schedule" or "Disabled by
Staff,” contact the state Business Engagement Manager,
Wallin Gustin ([email protected]), and his team
([email protected]), to request that the account be activated.
In the email, please provide the employer’s username and the
company name.
We are working with our vendor, AJLA, to improve functionality
and make it impossible for staff to enter a job posting for
employers in a "Disabled by Schedule" or "Disabled by Staff"
status.

I let Grace (Yuma) know
personally that we had one
problem with San Luis.
One building they picked
was not what we expected
or wanted in any way.
Grace said she would take
care of it and have a
different venue next year.
She drove out there to
check it out and see what
they could do better for
next year.
Kimberly Tremain (Safford
& Clifton) spots stuff and
posts with permission.
She's fantastic, diligent,
and easy to work with. A
great resource for the
community.
I enjoy coming to
ARIZONA@WORK (Yuma
Career Center). Quiet,
clean and friendly
atmosphere. I like to use
the computers, I use
YouTube to learn, how to
do pharmacy, math and
laws. Thank you.
Improvement
Despite several great reviews, these issues have been reported:
FROM EXITERS
I was not sure of how to get a job on the site. This resulted in
a lot of duplicate efforts. Communication was not what it
should be. Your office staff then helped me.
Lengthy pass-around-transfers and then I just got cut off.
The person at 7th St & Mountain View did not get back to me
when she said she would. I haven't seen anything or talked to
anyone.
I didn't get any feedback, at all. I e-mailed back and forth with
someone, but didn't get very far with them.
When you put in a zip code or search city, it pinpoints other
cities. It was very frustrating.
FROM EMPLOYERS
Working onsite they should have more organization when we
have job fairs. People wander into our job fairs who have
other reasons for being there. This cuts into our time. On a
separate concern: One person who kept calling me from a
DES office requesting info about people who have worked
with us. I explained that she knows that is against state policy
to do over the telephone, and she said, "I don't need a
lecture.” I told her if she would fax me the form I would be glad
to help her. She said, "are you going to give me the info or
not?" When I said no, she hung up on me.
The suggested applicants didn’t really match the qualifications
that I posted.
I rated it 7 because I've been here since September. I haven't
even gotten a call from anyone. No one has reached out to
me. I would like to have a relationship with them.
It would be nice if I had some follow- up and updates from the
office whether there were any candidates in the system. No
feedback really leaves you wondering.

Recall the enthusiasm of a
new employee unafraid to
tackle even the toughest
problems with the optimism of
“we’ll figure it out?” Over time,
most employees pick up
workplace “baggage,” that
include false starts,
unaccomplished goals and
barriers, subsequently
jeopardizing their confidence,
conviction and drive. Optimism
digresses to skepticism. Their
“bucket” for tolerance and
willingness to forge ahead in
the face of the unknown is
“filled up”… and there is no
room in a filled bucket for
innovation.
Empty your bucket
because critical thinking and
creativity cannot be
accomplished when baggage
says “no.” Challenge your
current situation and assume
that “a solution exists, and we
will find it.”
THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY!
Explore!
“What if?”
What other?”
What Else?”
“Why not?”
Don’t dismiss the possible just
because it seems impossible
… simply start by pulling out
the pieces that are actually
possible.

Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) Codes
A CIP code provides a taxonomic scheme that supports the
accurate tracking, assessment and reporting of fields of study
and program completion activities.
Not all training/education services have an O*NET code,
although you should be able to find a CIP code for every
training/education service that you enter into AJC. The PIRL
(Element 1305) requires a CIP code be entered on the service
entry for all training/education services.
CIP codes can be found for programs of study that are not on
the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) at the following
location.
https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cipcode/Default.aspx?y=55
When entering the CIP code in AJC, only enter the six-digit code
(without decimal points) on the Service Details screen for the
services themselves.
