ISRAA

• ISRAA is an italian public care provider based in Treviso and involved in caringelderly people.

• Our mission is to promote elderly dignity, respect, independence and self-determination as much as possible.

• We strive to enable the elderly to make choices about the way they are living and the care they receive.

• Our approach is based on the personcentered-care model.

• Our social aim is breaking down the stereotypes against elderly and nursing home. We want to change the negative idea that nursing homes are only fallbacksolutions. We believe that it is importanthow elder person is living not where he or she lives.

BMSC IDEAS

• ISRAA owns a real estate in the centre of Treviso that includes flats, shops and a former nursing home located in an ancient monastery..

• In this area we want to face the new challenge of economic, social and demographic changepromoting an urban regeneration and providinghousing, gardens and outdoor spaces for ageing in place.

• The goal is offering a new social and sustainableresponse to elderly way of living and housing in the centre of the city.

• We want to design a group of indipendent, accessible and affordable flats for rent in a smart, inclusive and age friendly neighborghood close to a network of services.

• Our commitment is to promote and empower the elderly’s ability to remain in their own home for aslong as possible and to foster self-determination.
