The dream of many people is to become an entrepreneur. But, most ofthem have a common question, “Is it possible“? Yes, it is and tobecome an entrepreneur is not that special.

Your neighborhood gardener is an entrepreneur. So was ThomasEdison, founder of the General Electric.

Anyone with a little initiative can be an entrepreneur. So don’t thinkentrepreneurs are special or better than other people.

Your job is to decide which entrepreneur you most want to be like –the gardener or Thomas Edison?

They both provide a valuable service or product. Both are importantfor their customers. Yet they operate in very different spectrums,different levels of entrepreneurship.

It's like the difference between high school soccer team, collegesoccer team and professional soccer team.

It is obvious that all played soccer game but not at the same level ofplay.



The same is true in the business world and the game ofentrepreneurship.

We can all be entrepreneurs and being an entrepreneur is not that biga deal.

The most important job of an entrepreneur is to design business andthe question in designing a business is, „ At what level of play do youwant to play the game?“

Once you have decided at what level of play you want to play thegame, it might be a good idea to study the lives of successfulentrepreneurs and the different types of business they created.

It is also a good idea to find a mentor who has been an entrepreneur.Just make sure you seek business advice from people who havebusiness experience as an entrepreneur, but not as an employee.



A successful entrepreneur is one who never thinks in terms ofobstacles. They think in terms of opportunity and what they can do toovercome those obstacles.

It is all about self-belief –you have to know you can succeed and youmust ignore the failure stories. So, what specifically make a successfulentrepreneur so special? It's all in the mindset.

Some people might ask a question, “Are people born entrepreneurs orare they trained to be entrepreneurs?”

People can be trained to be either employees or entrepreneurs. Thereason there are more employees than entrepreneurs is simplybecause schools train young people to become employees who lookfor jobs rather train entrepreneurs who create jobs and business.



Now, question is, “Is being an entrepreneur for you”? Yes, but youalso have to work longer hours than as an employee and you mustdevelop skills required to be a good entrepreneur.
