How Does IS-01 Work?

IS-01 is made up of two devices: the Sensor Cam and theInteractive Pen. The Sensor Cam detects the physical location of

the Pen and sends this information to your computer, which then

translates the Pens motion into cursor motion. Wherever you movethe Pen, the computer will move its cursor in real time. You can

also perform mouse clicks and drags with the Pen. Please note: A

soft projector screen is not recommended, as the shifting surface

may affect pen trace and result in inaccurate operation.

Two Ways to Enhance Your Teaching

Use the Interactive Pen as a Computer Cursor

The Interactive Pen can behave like a mouse, transforming any surface

into a touchscreen. Use the Pen with a wide variety of software programs tointuitively perform the actions youd normally use your mouse to perform.

Use the Interactive Pen to Annotate or Draw

Pair any annotator software program with the Interactive Pen to use it just

like your regular whiteboard marker. Draw and annotate on images you are

projecting to clarify lessons, add emphasis, and capture attention. IS-01 is

IS-01 sounds good, but is it right for my classroom?

IS-01 can operate in a wide variety of settings. For starters, please make sure at least one of thefollowing THREE POSITIONS are available for the IS-01's Sensor Cam:

Desktop

Mount the Sensor Cam on a flat,

smooth desktop surface. Ensure

nothing is blocking the Sensor

Cam's line of sight to the screensurface.

Ceiling

A ceiling mount sticker is included

so that the Sensor Cam can be

permanently affixed to ceiling or

ceiling-mounted projectors.

Tripod

The Sensor Cam also comes with

a built-in tripod mount. Consider

mounting the Sensor Cam onto any

standard tripod.

IS-01 sounds good, but is it right for my classroom?

The second consideration is making sure you have a good angle and distance between the screen

surface and the Sensor Cam.Minimal distance from your screen depends on screen size. Place the

Sensor Cam according to the recommended distances in the chart below:

The Sensor Cam is best placed opposite thecenter of the screen at a straight-on angle.However, a straight-on angle is not required for

acceptable operation, and the Sensor Cam may

be placed at another angle if necessary. Please

refer to the diagram below for placement zonesaccording to accuracy quality.

Please note: A soft projector screen is notrecommended, as the shifting surface may affect

pen trace and result in inaccurate operation.

Useful Tips

Use the Pen to Control the computer and software applicationsMouse clickscan be performed both within the operating system and in many software

applications. A variety of mouse controls are possible using these methods:

Left click: Tap the Pen tip onto the surface, or press the IPEVO button

once.

Double click:Quickly tap the tip onto the surface twice, or press the IPEVObutton twice.

Right click: Press and hold the tip onto the surface, or press and hold theIPEVO button. Hold for at least 2 seconds.

Click and drag:Press and hold the tip onto the surface, or press and holdthe IPEVO button. While doing so, move the Pen to the desired spot.

Ensure a Clear Line of SightBe careful not to block the Pens path to the

Sensor Cam with your body.

Remove InterferencePlacing the Sensor Cam near strong light source may

affect its functionality. Make sure the Sensor Cam is not placed under anyhalogen lamp, direct sunlight, or infrared equipment.
