The MAEUR International Research Project is the perfect opportunity to do all of the above while taking on your first business trip abroad! Previous years ventured to Australia, India, China, Vietnam, Canada, Turkey, Brazil and USA for companies of different sizes and in different industries.

What IRP expects of YOU• Commitment from February 2015 till October 2015• Willingness to go abroad during the summer of 2015• Prepared to work 6 to 12 hours per week on average• Affinity for consultancy and research• A small fee: most of the expenses are covered by the companies, but not all

4 - 6 hours a week // FEB - APR 8 hours a week // APR - JUN

1 // Aquisition Phase

Phase 1 will start with an informal kick-off in order to get to know each other. After the kick-off the main goal is to acquire companies that are interested in international research. Besides contacting you will also be writing research proposals for the high potentials. The goal is to have six companies by the end of April.

No experience? Don’t worry! We will practice and practice makes perfect.

2 // Desk Research Phase

Phase 2 starts with assigning participants to one of the consulting groups forming teams of 5. Personal preferences are taken into account in order to ensure mutual fit between you and the project. The teams will then start with desk research and preparation for field research.

Not a researcher? Don’t worry! Our 20 years of experience and an academic supervisor got your back.

3 - 6 weeks // JUL - AUG 8 hours a week // AUG - OKT

3 // Field Research Phase

Phase 3 is all about the field research abroad. This might well be your first business trip so you are expected to make that count. Your stay will be 3 to 6 weeks depending on the specifics of your project.

If you work hard there will be definitely enough time to play hard!

First big trip? Don’t worry! We will assist with all the necessary documents.

4 // Report & Presentation

Phase 4 is where the projects are wrapped up and the findings are presented to the companies. A large proportion of the reporting can be completed while abroad although there will be more than enough time to finalize upon your return. Before the end of October all the projects must be concluded and presented to the companies.

Anxious? Don’t be! We will make sure all the presentations are in top shape.

With over 700 members, the Marketing Association EUR is one of the largest and most innovative Marketing Associations of the Netherlands.

Every year we organize various events and projects targeted at the students of the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) and Erasmus School of Economics (ESE). However, our events are organized for all marketing-minded students.
