PROGRAM DETAILS
he program will address the issue of
Risk management in Islamic banks Tfrom the perspect ive of r isk
professionals. It will address the general idea of risk
classes which are generic and inherent to all financial
instruments. It will also map those risk classes only
unique and particular to Islamic Financial Institutions (IFI)
like displacement risk, rate of profit risk, investment risk,
Sharia compliant risk, etc.
The program will address the detection of the
risk classes by introducing an innovative technique, the
contract time line, and it will use this technique to
suggest management and mitigation techniques when
and while such risk class is eminent or substantial.
The program will take Murabaha and Ijara
contracts as examples for sales contract risk
management and will use a Mudaraba contract to show
the risks involved in an equity financing contract. Special
emphasis will be put onthe risk transformation in Profit
and Loss contracts (reimbursement of assets after
project completion and asset specifications breach)
More importantly, the ever-changing
landscape and regulations of Islamic banking sector in
Indonesia will be addressed as a critical review both from
regulatory body and bank perspectives.

The Indonesian Bankers Association or IBI (Ikatan
Bankir Indonesia) was officially established on thDecember 12 , 2005 as a result of the merger of the
Indonesian Bankers Institute and Bankers Club Indonesia thon July 28 , 2005. The establishment was witnessed by
the Central Bank Governor and the Finance Minister of
the Republic of Indonesia. IBI’s vision is to become a
professional association of the Indonesian bankers and

following 6 main activities:

12 Desember 2005 sebagai hasil dari penggabungan
antara Institut Bankir Indonesia dan Bankers Club

The Indonesian Bankers Association or IBI (Ikatan
Bankir Indonesia) was officially established on thDecember 12 , 2005 as a result of the merger of the
Indonesian Bankers Institute and Bankers Club Indonesia thon July 28 , 2005. The establishment was witnessed by
the Central Bank Governor and the Finance Minister of
the Republic of Indonesia. IBI’s vision is to become a
professional association of the Indonesian bankers and

developing a strong national economy through the

which is the National Institution for the Banking
Profession Certification and is founded by IBI including
Perbanas, Himbara, Asbisindo, Asbanda and
Perbarindo.
LSPP was established in 2006 under the license from the
Indonesian Professional Certification Authority (BNSP)
and provides bankers certification in 9 fields, namely Risk
Management, Internal Audit, General Banking, Treasury
Dealer, Compliance, Funding and Services, Operations,
Credit and Wealth Management.
The competency certification managed by LSPP covers
the 3 aspects as required by BNSP which are Knowledge,
Skill and Attitude to meet the challenges in banking
industry. Since 2008 up to July 2016, LSPP has conducted
the competency certification to a total of more than
124.000 bankers of Indonesian banks.
