Irish is the official language of Ireland but only 20725 young people aged between 3-19 speak Irish daily outside the education system!

French is one of the most common spoken languages, with 19,163 young people speaking it on Census night.

Polish is the most commonly spoken language, other than English or Irish, spoken by young people in Ireland aged between 0 and 18, with 25,812 young people using Polish as their first language on Census night.

The most common language spoken in Ireland is English followed by Polish!
