Many operators only need to clean or inspect their pipelines periodically, this could mean that procedures can be out of date, personnel may have changed or have little knowledge of trap

operations and maintenance may have been overlooked.

Pipeline Bore Passing Assessments

Before any none routine cleaning can be considered, a bore passing assessment should be conducted to ascertain if the pipeline is compatible with the tools proposed. Should issues arise, IPS360 can recommend the most appropriate remedial works to ensure safe passage of all pigs through the pipeline.

Assessments can also be performed to include logistics, vendor tool type and suitability as well as a vendor selection report matching required inspection criteria to vendor tool capabilities.

Engineering Technical Practice

Due to the age and location of many pipelines and pigging facilities it is unlikely they will conform to the operators current ETP. IPS 360 can carry out ETP assessments to highlight what areas need

improvement and the feasibility of executing these improvements.

Independent Inspection Tool Evaluation

By using defined selection criteria, scored and weighted, when assessing vendor proposals allows us to select the best tool for the job and highlight the limitations of the options.

Factory Acceptance Testing

Before mobilizing equipment to site it is project execution critical that the equipment matches the agreed specification and all testing and conformance certification is correct. IPS 360 can provide factory acceptance testing on behalf of clients at vendors premises worldwide. With first-hand knowledge of ILI and pigging

vendors we are well placed to ensure that all equipment is correctly built tested and documented prior to mobilization.

Project Work Packs

Well produced project documentation is the corner stone of any pigging campaign. A project specific work pack encompassing all necessary QHSE and operational documentation can be produced to the clients’ specification and can include procedures, project method statements, lifting plans, HAZID reviews and health and safety assessments. We can also assist in facilitating HAZOPs, risk assessments etc.

Client Representation

IPS 360 can work with pipeline operators providing on-site support to ensure your pigging operations are carried out safely and smoothly to schedule. Client representation can include overseeing the operators designated crew and

associated sub-contractors as well as operational reporting activities.

Dig Verification and Validation

Assistance with or execution of dig verifications can be provided for the validation of defects reported by the ILI vendor in order to confirm sizing and location of the critical defects so their impact on the pipelines integrity can be accurately assessed.

Damage Assessment

The possibility of in-line tools being damaged by an unknown source while traversing the pipeline is well known. With significant experience running pipeline tools and the application of root cause analysis we can advise on the origin of the problem as well as the

remediation actions required prior to any further operations commencing.

Pre-commissioning Support
