Famous Citizens

• As a child H.G. Wells developed a love for education. In 1883, he earned a scholarship to The Normal School of Science in London. He studied biology at the school. However, during his time at the school he lost interest and left without a degree. Later on, H.G Wells got his B.S degree in 1890. H.G Wells has never been arrested nor committed anything illegal that is still on record today. He did not run an inn, but his father was a storekeeper and when he was young he and his brothers apprenticed for a draper. H.G Wells relates to the Invisible Man because during that time, he and the I.M were advanced men in their education and in ways of thinking. Other famous people during H.G's time and of whom he was able to meet were Joseph Stalin, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky.

Education

• Iping does not have very much education, but it's surrounding cities have school that the children of Iping and all of England must attend school until they reach the age of 11. Education was also free in all of England after the Elementary act of 1880. The law forcing children to go to school till they reached the age of 11 was made after the law preventing children from being able to work until they were 14. Then they not iced that children had nothing to do during the day because their

Parents had to work all day so they decided to have the children of England go to school and learn. Then, they noticed that families were not eating because they had to spend their money on school. A law was passed stating that school will be free.

Medical/Psychological care

Animals

• People in England during the 1800s had aggressive dogs that were used in dog fights. These dogs were not aggressive to their owners, but to unknown people and other dogs they were.

• Since dog fighting was sort of popular during those times many persons had dogs to enter them into the fights to win money.

• Some people did not like the idea of dogs fighting and killing each other so they tried to stop dog fighting.

• During this time people were more inclined or able to have pets since prepared dog food was first introduced in 1860

• People also had farm animals to get milk, meat, eggs and much of their food or drink

Amusements

Clothes were not bought in ordinary malls or shops during the 1800 in England, either they were made or you bought them from the tailor in your town or from a nearby town.Ale became a very famous industry in the1800 since people sought to it as to get away from their problems.If there wasn't a nearby ale factory in your town they had to import it and it was very pricy so people started brewing their own ale at home.When people visited towns they stayed at inns That were like hotels or bread & breakfasts
