    DESIGN OF CONNECTION:

    RAFTER IPE 270 WITH SHELL:

    CHECK FOR BOLTS:

    Try with 4 / M12 grade 8.8 bolts

    CHECK FOR SHEAR:

    F(x) = 56.5 kN

    F(z) = 0.367 kN

    Resultant Shear : ((56.5)2 +(0.367)2) = 56.5kN

    Shear bolts : 56.5/4 =14.125 kN

    Shear Capacity of M / 12 grade (8.8) bolt = 31.6 kN > 14.125 Kn (refer attachecd)Hence safe..
