ABOUT US

A registered non governmental Organization (Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860 as a national NGO. Regn. No. S/ 792/Dstt. South/2012) runs by todays highly smart, sensible, benevolent, motivated, energised and talented youth compatible enough to share the sorrowful state of their fellow happiness for their fortunate life. Umeed is active since 5 years in Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Jaipur and Delhi. !Delhi Team is doing pretty well since last 2 years. Umeed commands itself in favor of anything and everything related to a social cause which is all time mission/goal Organization.

What Umeed does?It  works  perceiving  a  broad  vision  which  covers  several  factors  to  be  focused:  !

-­‐  Slum  and  Rural  development  -­‐  Road  Safety  -­‐  Women  Empowerment  -­‐  Water  Management  -­‐  Environment  Awareness  -­‐  Grand  generaBon  in  old-­‐age  home  -­‐  Cancer  fighBng  paBents  -­‐  AIDS  awareness  -­‐  Blood  DonaBon;  etc

PRESENT PROJECT

Under  which  a  team  of  volunteers  on  alternaBve  Sundays  visits  the  largest  slum  of  Delhi,  at  Anna  Nagar  Slum  (Umeed  Adopted  this  SLUM)  at  Indraprastha,  New  Delhi.  An  event  is  organised  in  morning  hours  for  a  duraBon  of  2-­‐3  hours  for  the  slum  kids.  Kids  are  made  learn  things  by  using  interacBve  acBviBes  given  nutriBous  refreshment  

at  the  end  of  the  event.  Profiling  of  kids  has  been  done  so  as  to  monitor  the  growth  of  each  and  every  child  

individually.  To  ensure  it  more,  family  survey  of  families  in  slums  have  also  been  made.  

As  per  the  latest  scenario,  Health  and  SanitaBon  and  Wishes  Fulfilment(in  collaboraBon  with  Amity  University,  Noida)  have  been  successful  events  of  Umeed-­‐Delhi.

Funds  are  generated  from:  !• RegistraBon  fee  @  Rs  100/-­‐  from  all  new  Members  • On  selling  of  Umeed  T-­‐Shirts  @  Rs  250/-­‐  • DonaBons  (Both  monetary  and  materialisBc  like  clothes,  staBonary,  etc.)  • ContribuBon  by  volunteers  from  their  own  pocket  money  savings  • Sponsors  (if  approached)

How we Get Our Funds

• Members  of  Board  Commi]ee  who  decide  where,  when  and  how  the  fund  is  to  be  used  in  its  best  possible  way.  

• To  maintain  the  transparency  and  appreciaBng  the  Right  to  InformaBon  of  each  and  every  event,  budget  chart  is  prepared  and  mailed  to  all  volunteers  showcasing  expenditure  of  even  a  single  penny.  

• Requisite  bills  are  kept  in  records  to  be  showed  to  the  quesBoning  person.  

Fund  are  managed  by:

• Get  involved  in  ConsBtuent  Departments  and  help  people  there  to  distribute  the  task-­‐  we  have  a  lot  of  work  to  do  -­‐  always.
