• Retention-oriented businesses with long
customer lifetimes, high frequency of use
• Strong competitive moat (e.g., network effects, 10x better than peers), promising market
dominance
• Smart founders “scratching their own itch”
• Robust initial traction, positive unit economics
What we won’t invest in:• Companies trying to solve all problems for
everyone – no “Microsoft Office” products
• Products used infrequently by customers, or
those with natural churn – e.g., on-demand home repairs, dating apps, etc.
• Me-too companies offering incremental
innovations, esp. in network effect businesses
• Paper plans / idea stage companies
