Introduction to Moodle V2.3
Staff Guide
Access Moodle
Use Google to search for:
DVC Moodle
Type the address: http://vle.dearne-coll.ac.uk
OR
Log In
1. Enter your DVC username
2. Enter your DVC Password
(same as you use for the PCs in college)
3. Click Login

Enrolling on a courseWhen you are logged in to Moodle you can search for your course as follows:
1. Move your mouse over the courses menu
2. Click Search for a Course
Enrolling on a courseYou will get a screen as below:
Enter a keyword relating to your course and click Go
For example...Typing the word childcare would find any courses with the word childcare in the title
Enrolling on a course
1. Once you have found your course click on it
2. You will then have to enrol on the course
3. Enter the enrolment key in the text box(as provided by your tutor)
4. Click enrol me in the course.
Accessing your course1. Once enrolled on a course it will appear in the
“My Courses” section.
2. Hover over Courses on the menu bar and click My Courses to find your course.

Click on HOME or to go back to the home page at anytime, click on MY COURSES to go back to your list of courses and MH-101 is an example of a course home page.
