Overview
IBM Insight for mySAP ERP is a FREE service offering that provides
customers with a report detailing the workload and utilization
of their production SAP system.
Insight is a set of three Microsoft Windows programs:
�Insight Collector - captures R/3 workload and OS utilization statistics.
�Insight Reducer - gathers information, verifies and compresses data set.
�Insight Reporter - generates the Insight report (run by Techline specialist).
The Insight report can be used by Techline in the mySAP sizing
process for existing and potential IBM customers running IBM
or non-IBM hardware.

Workflow (Continued)
� Customer installs the tool on a PC running Windows that is LAN attached to the SAP system.
� Tool is run for 1 to 3 days and data is collected.
� Tool is stopped and the data goes through a reduction and compression process. A single ZIPPED file is created.
� Customer sends the data for processing to IBM for processing.

How big is the collected data file ?
� Following variables determine the size of the ZIPPED Insight data file:
– Number of App Servers
– Number of days data is collected for (1-3 days)
– Number of Users on the SAP R/3 system
– Activity on the SAP R/3 system
ANSWER: Any where from 3 MB to few GB

Insight data delivery to IBM
� Email data to IBM (if less than 10MB)
� Burn the data on CD-Rom and use Express mail
� FTP the data to us
