03The need for power quality measurement
The quality of the power is determined based on factors such as "instantaneous voltage drop", "harmonics", and "disturbance" depending on the fluctuating nature of the voltage, the most important of these is harmonics.

Harmonics are frequencies with an integer multiple of the fundamental frequency, with frequencies below 50th order, and higher frequencies are classified as high frequencies. When these harmonics occur, the waveform of the power system is distorted, which seriously affects the power equipment and the line.

Harmonics are generated mainly by nonlinear loads (electronic fluorescent lamps, LED lights, inverters, uninterruptible power supplies, etc.), distorting the voltage of the power supply system and causing excessive current to flow in the phase capacitor, generator, overheating or loss may occur.

03The need for power quality measurement
Worldwide, in 2008, we established and specified power quality
measurement standards in accordance with IEC 61000-4-30, and
since 2009, we have established harmonic management
standards for power distribution systems in Korea.

These regulations are being applied together when KEPCO
establishes contracts with power consumers, and is an
important consideration for high-voltage consumers, especially
those with high power such as production automation plants. In
addition, since the measurement of power quality is related to
each other such as power supply and power usage of each load,
it is necessary to measure power quality by including power
energy management in power quality management.

J & D has developed the JAGUAR 6300S, a power quality meter
that meets IEC 61000-4-30, as a solution to this problem. It also
has a high-quality, high-precision current sensor, AC / DC
current sensor, Sensors, etc., and provide them as PQ-CT and
PQ-VT brands.
In particular, as the Electricity Business Act was amended in July
2015, a power quality analyzer was added as a common
equipment that electric safety managers must have as a
necessity. JAGUAR IoT TEAM, therefore, proposes a high-
performance power quality analyzer to enable more accurate
and efficient electrical safety management.

The contract power of the first level was designed for the newly built buildings of 2
floors underground and 8 floors above ground in Jung-gu, Seoul. At this time, the

safety manager under the Electricity Business Act.
However, the eGauge meter, which is a multi-channel energy meter of JAGUAR IoT
Team, was installed and analyzed the power data for one year. As a result, it was
confirmed that the maximum power consumption of this customer did not exceed
55kW.
Taking into consideration the margin, we selected the electric power again with the
capacity of 65kW, This allowed us to reduce our overall energy management costs by
eliminating the need to deploy safety managers as well as our base rate reductions.
