Introduction:Session 7 is longer than other sessions since a longer discipleship lesson will be presented than usual.By Session 7, each Generation 0 (G0) Team should be functioning as a church and each member should have started a new G1 T4T church and turned its leadership over to members of that church. Continue meeting with the G1 church as a coach to its leaders. These are the individuals that you will pour more of your time in discipling than the others and they will become the leaders that will result in a Church Planting Movement (CPM) across your community.Emphasis continued disciplines of daily prayer and Bible study. Continue to circle names on your list and share your story, bridge, and short Gospel with them this week.

The Purpose of T4T: The Holy Spirit must energize Biblical scripture in the minds of T4T leaders for its purpose of training trainers to succeed. By the seventh T4T session your should have identified leaders in your G1 T4T church that have said YES to you story and will receive concentrated training to take over the leadership of the G1 church.

What to do during the Seventh T4T sessionThe seventh T4T session repeats the seven parts as taught in the first six sessions. This G0 session should take on the characteristics of a home church. Each should have a study Bible.

1.How Are You Doing?Always open each T4T session with a brief time of sharing about how each team member is doing (about 10 to

12 minutes).

By the seventh session, the team members should have the experience of witnessing to some people they know that have rejected their offer to share Christ with them and some that have said YES.

Additionally, they should have the experience of starting a new T4T G1 group/church. This experience is bound to surface issues that they should discuss.

2. Let's Worship HIM By Pondering His Vastness and MajestyBe silent and think about the vastness and majesty of God. Try to compare your physical size with Him.

Though you and God are radically different, He loves you so supremely that he demonstrated that Agape love while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8)

The Team Leader should close this important part of the session with prayer.

3. Loving AccountabilityAsk each team member to report on the results of their goals set at the previous meeting.

Have them stand one at a time and share their morning's time in prayer and Bible study. Which book, chapter or passage are you studying?

Ask each one to share how many names they now have on their list. How many were present at their G1 church meeting?

Have each discuss with the team how their G1 group is taking on the characteristics of a church; worship, ordinances, stewardship, prayer, etc.

Where did you purchase study Bibles for the G1 church members?

Who is now leading the G1 T4T chuch?

If time permits, ask each to verbalize their story, bridge to the Gospel, and the Gospel in less than two minutes.

4. Cast a Vision - RewardsDo you realize that you will receive rewards in heaven to be enjoyed forever? We have many promises in the Bible that we will be rewarded lavishly for our service as Christians to others.

"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." Revelation 22:12-13

Be glad and rejoice for your reward is great in heaven. Matthew 5:12

Though our motives need not be to receive rewards, Jesus wants to provide us rewards for our obedience.Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. Matthew 6:22Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

5. Discipleship Lesson - Inductive Bible StudyInductive Bible Study is more than just reading the Bible. It is a systematic method of observation, interpretation and application of what is being studied.

1. Observation - What Does It Say Observation is the 1st step in Inductive Bible Study. Observation is simply the ability to see the obvious, catching the details, but it is a skill that needs to be developed.

2. Interpretation - What Does It Mean Interpretation is the 2nd Step in the Inductive Bible Study process.

3. Application - Now What! Application is the 3rd and final step in the Inductive Bible Study Process.

When approaching a book, chapter, or passage of scripture for in-depth study, you should identify:

1. Who is speaking?

2. Who is being spoken to?

3. What is the setting or environment ?

4. How does this apply to me?

An example of an Inductive Bible study is attached to this manual and can be copied to pass out to the T4T team members.

6. Let's PracticeHave the team re-arrange themselves into smaller groups of 2 to 4 each.

Have the smaller groups discuss the vastness and majesty of God. How does that make you feel?

What tasks of obedience do you think Christ will reward you for?

What kind of attitude should be yours on a daily basis as you ponder the Magnificence of God?

Ask the small groups to pray for each other, the people on their list that are away from God and for the others in their T4T team.

7. Goal Setting and PrayerGather the small groups back to discuss goals to be undertaken during the next week.

In all following G0 T4T meeting operate the meeting as a T4T church.

Sit in a circle so everyone will participate. Do not arrange the meeting with a pulpit and pews.

Perform an inductive Bible study of 1 John next week and be prepared to report what they learned at the next T4T G0 Church meeting.

Dismiss the seventh T4T G0 team session with prayer reminding them to go forth in Jesus name this next week and to do all things as unto the Lord. Remind them to be prepared to report their results at the seventh T4T G0 meeting.

Discipleship Lesson - Inductive Bible Study

Inductive Bible Study is a systematic method of study designed to equip the one making the study to become an independent student of the Bible. It is not complicated and no different from reading a novel.

Like reading a novel, the inductive Bible student should have in mind the person that is speaking or writing the passage being studied. Additionally, the audience or person being addressed or spoken to should be clearly understood. It is helpful to visualize the setting, conditions, and environment in which the study is being made. Since it is the Bible rather than a novel being studied, the student should be asking himself if the message being studied applies to him.

Inductive Bible studies may be performed by individuals or by groups. In all cases, however, time to reflect on the above should be thought through or discussed.

How should this be applied in my life?

The following preparations should be made for personal Bible study:1. Locate a Quiet, well lit place where you can concentrate.2. Pray that the Holy Spirit will assist you. 3. Have a cup of coffee, bottle of water nearby if you need it. 4. Keep a Notebook (journal) and pen for making notes. 5. Select a section of the Bible to study. It can be a book (like 1 John), or a chapter (like Acts 2), or a

passage (like Matthew 5:3-16)

To illustrate, let's make such a study of Matthew 5:3-16. The passage is called The Beatitudes. Jesus is speaking to His Disciples. A large crowd of people had followed Jesus to the shores of the Sea of Galilee. He wanted to instruct His disciples about the proper attitudes that they should have. Jesus then told his 12 disciples to follow him further up the rough mountainside knowing that the crowds could not follow. So His instructions were just to His Disciples; His followers.

"Blessed are those who are poor in spirit and realize their need of God, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:3.What does it mean to be poor in spirit? This beatitude is placed first because poverty of spirit is the fundamental

characteristic of the Christian. In fact, all the Christian characteristics that are described in the beatitudes that follow are in a sense the result of this one.• The expression “poor in spirit” is related to a biblical humility where a man sees himself as the Word

of God views him. Such a man understands that he is guilty and polluted before God; that with regard to his own life record and heart or character he has absolutely nothing to be proud of. There is not one thing that he has done or can do to impress God or bring him into God’s favor. “He knows himself to be an entirely dependent being; he knows that ‘in him, that is in his flesh, dwells no good thing’ [Rom. 7:18]; he knows that he has, that he can have, no hope, but in the sovereign mercy of God

• Poor in Spirit means acknowledging God's ownership of everything and that we are responsible to be good stewards of those things with which we have been blessed. Our attitude should be one of faithful servants and not one of pride, envy, lust, and gluttony. We are called to use what we have and are given to provide for ourself and serve God's people.

• The teaching that the poor in spirit are those who understand and acknowledge their spiritual bankruptcy before God is taught in Scripture a number of ways.

• David acknowledged that he is a helpless sinner and is completely dependent upon God’s grace and mercy for deliverance. Even though David was materially rich and powerful, he exhibited a complete absence of pride, self-assurance, self-reliance and instead focused his faith on God.

"Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4.When Jesus said: “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted,” He does not speak of

mourning for all kinds of misery. It was mourning associated with the recognition of one’s poverty of spirit.“Blessed is the man who is moved to bitter sorrow at the realization of his own sin. The way to God is the

way of the broken heart.” The psalmist declared, “Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is

the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him. "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land". Matthew 5:5.

The reason this question should be uppermost in our minds is that if we don't have an answer to it, we will not be able to fulfill the aim of our Lord in this sermon.

"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied " Matthew 5:6.To hunger and thirst for righteousness: To know that God's holy, uncorrupted nature is the supreme treasure

of the universe; to seek out, celebrate and share God's glory every day, in every circumstance; to never stop coming to Him to be made clean, made new, built stronger and higher and truer to His likeness.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5:7.To be merciful: To embrace Jesus' cross as the end of all wrath; to know in my heart of hearts that, as one

forgiven an insurmountable debt, I cannot hold others to debt; to always be about His business of loving and restoring people; to remember that His Kingdom is built of sinners immaculately transformed.

"Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God." Matthew 5:8.To be pure of heart: To recognize and reject unhealthy intentions; for my heart to be powered by a child-like

awe and adoration of God; to allow my lingering sinful longings to starve for the sake of sitting at God's table. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Matthew 5: 9.

To be a peacemaker: To make the focus of each encounter and every relationship the reflection of God's Gospel; to embrace and invite others into the resting place of grace.

Making Peace between God and all men (reconciling) is our Commission. (II Cor. 5:20-21) "Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. " Matthew 5:10.

The eighth beatitude addresses the persecution that a Christian must endure in this life while following the example of Jesus. The life of the Christian may be a fulfilled and happy life; but it is no bed of roses either. The following reflection by Mother Theresa on the eighth beatitude shows that persecution is normal for the Christian;

"People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.Love them anyway. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.Do good anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.Do good anyway.Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.Be honest and frank anyway.Give the world the best you’ve got and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.Give the world the best you’ve got anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.Build anyway.People really need help but may attack you if you help them.Help people anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God;It was never between you and them anyway.“Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

"Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you [falsely] because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven." Matthew 5: 11-12

“You are the Salt of the Earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?” Matthew 5:13 “You are the Light of the World – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden” Matthew 5:14

Jesus said in Matt. 5: 16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount so that His Father would get the glory for the way the disciples lived. His aim was to create a lifestyle in his disciples that would make people think about the value of God.

Salt must come before light because salt represents character / integrity. The church should develop salty disciples before they can be effective as Light. Short-sighted churches try to shine light without first developing saltiness in their people!

As salt (character and Integrity) increases, ones light becomes brighter. Focus on Salt only results in Dead-Sea Christians! (No Life)

Focus on Light only results in seed cast on hard ground and the resulting ministry will not last! Churches must balance salt (discipleship) and light (evangelism) to be relevant.

Inductive Bible Study is just that; a Study! The Purpose of Inductive Bible Study is to uncover instructions, commandments, commissions, etc. that are

to be applied to the reader’s life!

Emphasize inductive Bible study as the best way to become self motivated to continue daily study of the Bible without the aid of another person.
